rmacle's Journal, 31 May 2017

Just the facts: 3500 negative calories (eating minus the exercise) = 1 pound. I've been diligently tracking this and I was down a negative 5,598 calories which = 1.6 pounds (5598 divided by 3500). This is how I'm going to lose my 5-10 pounds of predominately belly fat. A slow slow slow process, progression all the same!

Cheers!

At the end of the day, it's all about the calories - I totally agree - no matter what types of foods are consumed. It's only slow because you're so close to your ideal weight. You've got this!

Well done! The maths does work, but making it happen is still hard!

It's having patience not one of my better traits! Not eating so much cheese has helped...so many calories. I can't give up my butter though.

Slow is the only way I've been able to do it, and it's worked for me. I'm down 79 pounds. So I bet you can do this. P.S. Nothing wrong with eating butter.

That's the way to do it. Just keep in mind that 3500 is an approximation; you're going to have fluctuations no matter how well you stick to the plan, and your needs will change with your body composition. But you can stick to it! We're on this journey together and we all want you to succeed.
