A year ago today, I weighed in at 170. Today, just over 155. On the one hand, it's kind of discouraging: 15 pounds in 12 months. On the other hand, I think I can be proud of the fact that I have progressed along a downward trend for the past year. If I can do the same thing in 2017, then a year from today, I will weigh 140 -- less than I have weighed for about 40 years. So it may be long and slow, but I'm willing to celebrate that success.
