I use Wii Fit Plus, and so far I think it's mostly helpful for balance and posture, not as much for burning cals. There are some games (running, biking, hula-hoop, etc.) that are more effective for burning calories than others, but after several months of using those, I'm getting a little bored. I'm trying to switch it up a lot with other workout videos. Maybe you'll have better luck with the game than I did! Have fun!

I really like my Wii Fit Plus, then again I have only been using it for a week and have lost 4lbs so far. I also have the EA Active game here, but am saving it for when the Wii Fit gets too easy/boring. I really like it and it's fun! If you have it in the house go ahead and give it a go while you wait on getting the EA Active game

I broke my ankle in a softball game last year and still feel the affects so balance and posture might help alot

The Wii Fit Plus is so awesome! I have nerve damage in one of my legs, so it feels slightly numb and I'm always worried that I am walking crooked. The Wii Fit has been great since I can get feedback to see if I'm not standing properly. Lots of luck, coach! My uncle lost over 100 pounds on Jenny Craig!

If you hurt your ankle, balance and posture will definitely help you get stronger for more intense stuff. If you go too fast out of the gate you might sideline yourself for awhile. Speaking from experience! Plus it'll help with core strength which you need for everything else. Good luck with whatever you pick. No matter what exercise you pick and how many cals it burns, it will give you confidence and a better mindset to push forward.

You have to do what works for you, especially if you're injured. Unfortunately, it might mean more calorie restriction depending on your plan :( but, you're on the right path, wishing you much success!

good luck with your exercise! whatever program you choose, it will be good for you. I don't know anything about wii, but the posture and balance thing sounds really good.
