I am a 31 year old Opera Singer who is in dire need of loosing weight. I have tried so many things and keep coming back with more and more weight. I started out at 410lbs and am trying very hard to get down to a normal size. Unfortunately, the image of the overweight opera singer is history and these days directors look for the best singers in the most beautiful packages. I have the voice but the rest of the package is not there. So, hopefully weight watchers will do the trick!

I've been there too. The last time I felt that way I made a list of non-food rewards that perked me right up. Also trying on old things in your closet can be very motivating, and as Karissa said, body measurements can perk you up a lot. You can always be a diet buddy to someone so you both loose weight and motivate each other. My two cents worth!

getting discouraged
You are doing so well!! Congrats!

I just have a couple of ideas that may help. Are you drinking all of your water? If you increase your water intake to 100 oz a day it will help flush out extra fat. I know it can be hard to do, but it really helps! You can google 'effects of water on diet' and see what comes up.
Next one is switching up your exercise routine. Either try something different totally or add new things into your current routine. You can increase the speed of your exercise (cardio wise) or do short bursts of extra speed.

Take a look at your carb intake and try to reduce it and change it out with more protein. Snack on high fiber veggies and add in some nuts to feel satisfied so you don't do what I do, start binging. BLACH! I hate that.
