I'm a single mom of 3-year-old twin girls, and was an at-home mom until August. Now I'm back in school (at Cal Poly SLO, in California) becoming a Master of Business Administration. I should be done in June, and have a collection of second-hand suits (for those job interviews I hope to get soon) that are SLIGHLY too small. I really need to loose 10 pounds to get into them, but I want to go beyond that and get down to 138 pounds. I'm not sure how I can up with that number, but it's in the "normal" BMI range for me, and I cannot remember ever being in that range before. At my heaviest (non-pregnant weight) I was 208 being able to say I lost 70 pounds will be awesome!

I'm also a vegetarian, as are my kids, but I've let my mom give them chicken nuggets (which they spit out...seriously, chicken nuggets are gross). I try to eat organic, and I've ust finished "Skinny Bitch" but don't think I'll go vegan anytime soon.

Every day, I weigh
I record a weight on Fridays, but I usually weight myself several times a week, and sometimes I'll do it everyday. I like to get a feel for which direction I'm headed...and if my Friday weigh-in is more than it was earlier in the week I know it's just salt or hormones and I don't need to get upset about it.

long day, too many calories make me crave more calories
Some days it's easy for me to eat 1200 calories...other days I go a little over...and since I'm already over I think "why not just take the day off and make some brownies?"

set a goal treat yourself
Sometimes I like to give myself something for sticking with my diet for so many days straight...because when you don't loose weight but you are trying sometimes you need a little reward. Smile

I might try the breakfast muffins...sounds like something my kids would like too. Right now, though, I got TONS of Slim Fast bars on clearance, since they are changing their packageing. 6 breakfasts for $1 is hard to beat!

the scale- has anyone noticed
I got one of those little machines for less than $20. They aren't supposed to be all that accurate...but if you use the same on over and over you would at least know which direction you are moving.
