The candy. And sweets. Just everywhere this week. My mental mantra today has been "does this align with my goals?" Makes me pause and think about what I'm about to do. Yes, Reese's cups are delicious. But does that taste make up for having to cut out my afternoon snack to make up for it? Nope. Will it help fuel me so that I can perform to the best of my abilities? Not at all.

The pleasure of the Reese's is so fleeting. In only a few moments you can't even taste it anymore. Yet it is inside you working against everything you are working for. Here's to staying strong!

oh yeah, aint' that the truth!! I feel so.... cheated... when I say, sure, I'll have a slice of this or a piece of that... whatever someone offers.. let's say a birthday cake at work.. I have only a sliver, so I can still join in... but.. if that sliver is so basic... I'm like.. WHY??.. it's much better when it's high quality stuff.. a great cake made by Gordon Ramsey himself... LOL for example, this weekend, I agreed to a slice of pizza.. and mannnn.... we chose this great place.... did that taste like the best pizza ever!!! Had it been some sloppy chain, dominos type of pizza, it would have just felt regret..... quality really matters now when I indulge... if I want reeses, chocolate, whatevs - I'm going toi the Godiva store, get the little gold box.. two truffles, 5 WW points.. and sooooo good :D

I keep a box of super, super dark German chocolate in my cupboard. One square is like 60 calories, but so very rich and satisfying. Now that is worth the splurge.

Great thoughts. I am going to steal that when I want to have a snacll. A snack that I don't really need but seem to convince myself it is ok because I am within calories and carbs. I need to do the convincing to myself the wou you do and not have that extra food! :)

You are right on point Notelaine. Reese's cups aren't going to get you to your goal and they will provide NOTHING for you in regards to nutrients. SAVVY woman!!
