Well, in comparison to my usual habits, I didn’t do awful yesterday. Was on the road from 5:30 am to 9 pm. Had to go get my passport renewed for my work trip to England next week. Just found out that it needs to be valid for at least 6 months to get in now.
My downfall yesterday was stopping at my sister’s for dinner on my way home. Buttery rice-a-roni, wine, and ice cream, oh my! But didn’t do too bad. Back on track today!
Looking to start some supplemental strength training in addition to crossfit, so that I can work on building better core strength and improving some of my weaknesses. I set up an appointment with a trainer who is going to go help create a program and go over all of the moves so that I know I’m doing everything correctly.

Nothing wrong with it, as long as you're in control.... Watch those portions!! I actually have ice cream... I'd say.. pretty often... maybe once a week... should show in my food journal... Hubby buys it by the 5 gallon jug.. However, I limit myself to eating directly out of a 1/2 cup measuring cup, and of course, counting those calories in my day. I'm surprised I have control. But those documentaries... really have me just seeing food as the enemy... Sometimes I like to sleep with the enemy though... Anyway... Would be nice if I could have NICE bowls or cups that were perfectly measured 1/2 cups and cups to enjoy it a little more aesthetically... but.. ok rambling here.. measuring cup is better.. keeps me mindful of the limits.. **googling***

lol! I do need to work on my portion sizes. I don't think I have the willpower to keep a large amount of it. I just buy the halo top pints... and down it in one sitting. Maybe that will be a challenge for me. 1/2 cup servings of ice cream. Seems like a good exercise in self control

"Obesity: The Postmortem" -- Watch it! If you can... not for weak stomachs... I've watched repeatedly. It's such a smack in the face to what is really going on in our bodies. This woman donated her body to science. She didn't drink, didn't smoke. But she ate too much. The Documentary is her autopsy. Her heart..... not like a muscle, more like a floppy bag... Her kidneys, smothered in fat..... her liver, fatty, undiagnosed, would have killed her soon if she hadn't died from her current condition.... wringing out her lungs, showing the liquid accumulation caused by the damage done to her heart by being so fat.... it's just... amazing...

@PicklesPickles I am going to fill up my water bottle right now, from your talk about liquid!

Ugh I gotta pass on that one. Partly because I am super squeamish, and partly because I feel awful for the woman who donated her body to medical science to have it broadcast like that.

Loooove her stuff! And I'm definitely more likely to use things if they are cute :D

I have cute little bowls that I set on my scale and weigh the ice cream and other things into. I've been known to "stuff" my measuring cups over full so it helps keep me honest. Also, I hate when I measure INTO a measuring cup and then can't get it all out. Yes, I've been known to lick it....

haha RCKC! I've so done that too! Especially with peanut butter. If those calories are getting logged, I'm damn sure gonna eat all of them.
