rhontique's Journal, 14 October 2016

It's midnight once again and I am finally getting on here. What a day it has been. My BIL has been in the hospital for over a week, yesterday they let him go and he went to spend the night at his daughter's house before traveling the 100+ miles home. Had a miserable night and ambulance took him back to the hospital at 8 this morning. My MIL called to ask if I would come and take her to the city. Of course! So a quick hair brushing and rudimentary preparations I am on the road to get her. Off to the city we go. Spend the morning in the ER, finally get him in a real room. Cardiology says it is GI, gastroenterology says it is cardiac. Everyone pointing fingers at everyone else as to who is responsible for letting him go home with pneumonia! He didn't want to leave, said he still had the same chest pain he came in with. Mind you this man has 20 cardiac stents, only 25% of his heart muscle functioning and early stage kidney failure. Looks to me like he is fragile enough they would want to be sure he was in a condition to go home. NOT. Am I frustrated?? You betcha! At least I didn't let it influence my WOE. Stuck with the plan.

Yes, my husband's youngest brother. He will be 60 next month. He was only 12 when Bob and I got married. I love him so much! My dear MIL is 91, I pray he does not die before she does. The middle son was killed in an accident many years ago. She should not have to lose another child. Please pray for our family.

Thanks to all of you. He is feeling better today, getting the fluid off his lungs has really helped. They will do a cardiac cath on Monday. They just did one last Wednesday!! Geez. At least he is not coughing his head off today. PTL for that!
