I cut my calories way back starting in November of last year, averaging between 800-1100/day, After six months of Atkins Induction, I transitioned to a more straight-up LCHF/Keto diet. I mention all of this because I haven't stalled or plateaued in over a year. Not recommending you do that, just food for thought.

I never believe those estimated calorie things. Mine always says I burn around 2200, but if that was the case I wouldn't gain weight when I eat that much! haha Truth is, it's all just an estimate. When the calories in food are calculated, it's done by burning the food, and the amount of energy is recorded. We aren't entirely sure how our bodies burn that food, and exactly what kind of calories we get from it. Not to mention, everyone is different! Everyone has a different metabolism and that alone can change the whole game! Keep sticking to the value you know works for you! You got this girl :)

So Now are you not eating enough so the body is holding on to it's weight? Lowering calories would not work for me if I get into to low of a range. Intermingled fasting does help some. Drink your water, stay away from the scale for a few days as your body processes things. So you can see the burn as the weight takes time to work IE break down and leave your body within minutes? NO it takes time. What ever your angry about you have placed the anger in your lack of weight loss. Journaling my be to your advantage now and again. Free form writing sometimes gets the anger out of the body so the wight comes off. Silly but sometimes it works. You have tried so many other ways to cut the weight off your body might as well go this route too. Pain is a good topic to start with, Partnership, relationships, kids, how pain effects your relationship in these areas. Just an idea.

exercise and activity is healthy and all people need it, wether or not they also want to lose some weight. But i advise you to be careful with over exercising to burn calories in order to lose weight. You will lose weight faster and maybe even have a toned body, which is great ! BUUUUT...in case you're not usually a sports person and you suddenly started to burn out calories now, the second you'll stop exercising so much you'll get back fat even if you don;t eat anything. IT's not my personal opinion, I have discussed with professionals and I see everyday people who start exercising a lot, lose a lot of weight and when they stop the exercise they get fat even if they eat healthy and very little calories. And their whole lives is a cycle : fat-slim, fat-slim / on and off the gym. Which is not even healthy for your body to have so often weight fluctuations. So what I'm saying is..either commit to exercising a lot for the rest of your life, either, if you're lazy and not a sports person (like me), wait until yo lose weight from dieting, wait for your body to adjust to the new weight...and only afterwards start doing sports to tone your muscles and skin. So, wish yo the best of luck and i apologize if I was disturbing by barging in like this . Have a wonderful week !

I think Robin is on to something there Hunter, right now your stress is releasing lots of cortisol into your system which will actually cause weight gain. Hubby is injured, you are injured, new pool broke, kids are bored and as all bored kids do....creating havoc and your weight loss is stalled and you are in pain and frustrated. Get your mind back into a happy place and the weight will once again begin falling off. I agree that fasting may put you into a better frame of mind, but Dr Fung also points out that stress can be a factor all of it's own aside and apart from diet. I know it's hard to find a moment alone to meditate but locking yourself in the bathroom for some quiet time is always an option too! Mind and body strong grasshopper!

I'll try fasting... haven't eaten yet today anyway.... exercise to lose wight would be a bonus... but in all reality I'm biking because I used to love it and did every day.... plus I need to build muscle to support hip and back problems. muscle is the only thing that keeps my leg from dislocation ... I have hip dysplasia. ... and my back needs to be strong on my vertebrae shift and cause absolute agony.

Well husband is doing better, his discomfort is manageable now so I don't have to baby him.... another pool is on its way.... sometimes I lock myself in the bathroom... I normally regret it though. I'll get peace when they are all in college ha ha ha ha ha

Biking/cardio does not build muscle, Lifting heavy weights and good nutrition is the only things that builds muscle . Michael Matthews~ thinner, Leaner , Stronger will tell you exactly how to lose fat and build Muscle .

well... considering I've done nothing for years.. moving at all will do more building than what I have been doing. also I forgot to mention my family history of heart issues that I'm trying to battle. I went from seeing stars with pains in my chest after a 5 min bike to be able to go for 40 mins without breathing heavy.. my heart is a muscle.. an important one ...... also I do use weights but I can't lift much due to disk herniations and spinal stenosis and a host of othe issues.. ... I am following my dr.s guidlines for exercise and a book for back rehabilitation... im not to walk long distances or run... im not suposed to lift heavy objects... im doing the best i can with my shItty body.... I'm not here to be a body builder.... I'm just trying to live longer than 30.... not to mention I'm trying to lose 100 pounds... I don't want a bunch of saggy skin... my sister lost over 100 and worked out and looks like she was never fat to begin with.... I can't just sit around until I lose another 50... I'll be a weak saggy blob.

if I don't keep my heart right I'll die like the rest of my family or suffer like my mom did..... I see you ran marathons and iron man.... I'm not doing that... I bike or use the elliptical for about 40 mins to an hour a day. the bare minimum humans should do.
