May I offer a suggestion? Try different numbers. Forget 2.4! Try staying off the scale for a WEEK! Instead, start reading the numbers on labels, especially sodium and its relations + sugar and its thousands of variations. Just a thought.

my suggestion would be look back thru your food journal and match it up with the days you showed a loss on your weight chart..

Wannabe healthier that is such a good idea...I am struggling with energy and more now. I am trying to get off of prednisone for my RA without having a flare. I am tapering slowly, but still having withdrawal. Becca P ...my own diet...I do well low carbs. But on prednisone I am failing. I am not putting a lot of pressure on myself now. My first goal is to get off prednisone and it is kicking my rear end and it is only the first week. I need to FOCUS FOCUS FOCUS. One day at a time. My main goal is awareness and keep trying. I hope that is ok on here. I need the support so much. Thank you all for helping. I need the input to help me. I AM STRUGGLING! I feel so bad today. My body has revolted against me. I am trying to rest and take care of myself, which is hard to do. I have been on this journey of being a better caretaker of myself for a while. I WANNA BE HEALTHIER TOO! Thank you all. Prayers needed.

So sorry for your pain. You will learn that just about anything goes here :) Mostly fun loving, supportive and lots of prayers. I have degenerative bone disease, bone on bone, spurs and I understand the need to focus. When you can hardly lift your feet off the ground it's pretty hard to keep moving, no matter how good it s for you, right? I have found that my inflammation responds well to diet changes and that RA should also. Have you ever tried a anti-inflammation diet? It makes low carb interesting but still doable. Hang in there, praying for you.

Becca P. I haven't really tried anti inflammation diet... I will do research on it. Where did you get info of your anti inflamatory diet? I am glad it helps you. So sorry for your hurting. I thank you all for prayers and support. God bless!

If you are on prednisone, it can be really difficult, almost impossible, to lose weight. Just be satisfied with little gain, and wait for the med regimen be complete. Do all you can to take care of yourself, eat well, exercise as much as you can, and don't stress if the scale shows an uptick for a few days. It will be much easier to get rid of the weight when you are off the meds and you will be able to make good progress then, as well as feeling better overall.

Don't worry. We all have those days. Also, I read that the weight shifts a bit form one day another, and that's just natural. It depends on so many things: water consumption, having enough rest or not, probably stress too, etc. I weigh myself every morning (I don't keep record of it here on FS), and I can see that clearly, but I don't let it influence my mood and I believe that the result comes sooner or later. Keep up the good job!
