Give away the cake. Trust me. The damn thing is on your mind. The only way to get rid of it is to eat it or give it away. Choose the latter because the temptation is still in your home screaming your name.

Throw it away!!!

Eat a handful of almonds and wash them down with a cup of coffee while you throw the cake out in the yard. That will help, guaranteed.

Don't eat the cake, and I won't eat the donut.... together we will succeed!

Don't think about what you are giving up. Think about what you have to gain. You can do this.

Ditto Joanne! If it was here, I would eat it, period!

I made brownies yesterday and had one. Sent the rest with son/daughter/husband. I know me, I would have picked at them until they were gone. Out of sight (house) out of mind!

Then eat it in the living room! Cake isn't the enemy, it's a treat for special occasions!

I'm having the same problem with a bag of kaisers in my kitchen. They've been calling my name all day and I'm doing my best to ignore them.

Cake isn't the problem, you're going to be fine. If the cravings are too intense. Then eat a small slice and get up and get moving. Do laundry or go run errands. As long as you keep moving, you can put that small piece of cake to good use. Use the calories so you can lose them. I believe in anyone wanting to lose weight and succeed!

Overkill636- cake may not be the problem, but it certainly doesn't help. Getting rid of the junk food temptations is helpful to anyone that struggles with willpower.

Your comments were cracking me up! I was onsite with a client and the owner of the business had brought the cake into the office. I couldn't refill my water cup with out walking by the dreaded cake in the kitchen. And, it wasn't mine to throw out. Skinny girl stayed strong and did not eat the cake! :)
