Hi there. I am 43 years old, but if you ask me my age, I'll tell you I'm 21 & a bit. Thats the exact age my Mom was from when I was little until the day I lost her to cancer. She used to tell me that the bit just got a little bigger.
When I was in my 20's I used to be quite small (and I"m only 5'1"), and the worst part about that is that I still have dreams of being that size. And then I wake up, walk by a mirror and get depressed all over again.
I plan on getting as healthy as I can, and hopefully being around for my daughter and son for as long as I can. I have even gotten my husband to change a few of his bad habits.
I wish all of us at FS a wonderful and rewarding journey, for whatever our goals may be. Hugs to all!

throwing hay
I've thrown hay before and would definitely count that as weight lifting. When I was doing that as well as mucking out horse stalls on a regular basis, I had some killer toned arms!

Spike Diet
I've been doing better with keeping closer to the 1200 a day last week and this week...and we won't talk about before that,lol. If you have any suggestions on tweaking my diet, I'm grateful for all the help I can get.

Thanks PantherIII. I googled the RMR and found out that my resting rate is 1292. So double that is over 2500 calories! I don't know if I could eat that much. I get kinda sweaty if when I eat things I don't think I should....but, I am on another stall and find it quite frustrating. Maybe I'll try it this weekend. And look for a book on it.

Spike Diet
Sorry for sounding dense, but I'm new to a lot of the terms used on here. So does this mean I should eat double my RDI once a week? I think I've gone over my limit twice since January and felt quite guilty about it. And does this mean I should limit my carbs every morning or just on spike days? And does this mean I can have a guilt free shooter night ?? (there's a get together I was worrying about in May). Also, should I eat carbs every night before a workout? Even if the workout is the next night?

Feet falling asleep
I thought I was the only one that had this happen. I'm fine when I do the treadmill ,but quite often my right foot will go numb when I'm on the elliptical. It doesn't happen all the time, and I always have on the same shoes. I think I'll look into a foot doctor, as I know my family doctor would just scoff it off.
