Home workouts today, probably full body TRX video by Amy and a kettle ball one since I'm off all week. YAY!

Plans to work outside later in the week as it's supposed to be cooler. Right now breathing is hard with the ozone alerts, pollution and high mold counts. I love hot weather but not the heavy thick air. Last night you couldn't even sit outside the air was so awful. These type days I really miss the country.

I asked Mom if I could keep the boys at least another day. I knew the hutch would be an almost all day project. Today will be putting up the new light fixtures in the kitchen. YAHOO!! I'm hoping they provide the light I'm looking for. Might just do the dining room one as well so I can use the ceiling fan this summer even if it is no where ready to paint. The old fixture's fan doesn't work and only 2 of the 4 sockets work, plus it's really ugly. I've had the new fixture for over a year. We will do something fun later.

This am is a quick run through the frig it needs a bit of organizing before tackling the day. Everyone was up late so sleeping in. The boys were watching How to Train a Dragon and they were trying to be so quiet but I couldn't sleep because I'm not used to the little noises that others make in my little house. The basement living space is still piled so not useable for them as it usually is.

Thanks Heidi, it happens every summer. I love outside but there are days my lungs don't . We have 110 heat indexes or higher predicted for today. 95 real temps with high humidity and the ozone alerts. High ozone means that the air has less useable oxygen the O1 that is ozone isn't useable as is the O2 and the H2O in the air also takes up space. So it takes breathing a lot more volume to get the O2 the body needs. Asthma makes it so you are working much harder to breathe.

I am glad to get to keep the boy's a little longer, though I am sorry about your Asthma/breathing issue's.

Jen, paying attn to the ozone just a normal part of life anymore in the summer. Good days to do things inside and stay cool;) We are off to Hobby Lobby after they eat some breakfast for parts and pieces to make my bird some new toys. He has a new cage coming within the week as his are old and not in the best shape anymore and many of his toys have seen better days. Bird toys are dang expensive and not hard to make.

I am trying hard to take your advice and start living this lifestyle (instead of dieting). I like it! It takes the pressure off and lets me eat what I like that is also good for me without thinking about it. Glad you are enjoying the little guys and out shopping for the birdie. He will appreciate his new toys, I am sure. :)

HEY MOM, glad it's helping. I can't do diets as I just gain it back. Tweaked and tweaked over 3 years as my WOE became healthier and my tastes changed. Besides with grandkids, other family and friends life is fun and not eating or having a few beers at get togethers etc. does not fit me. Not so little boys 13 and almost as tall as me. Still fun. Took longer than expected 2+ hours, as of course, no one had everything on my list. A little more pricey as well but we will have some cool toys for many $$ less than buying them an fun making them ..also some things leftover for more later. Bought a bakers dozen ears of yummy fresh corn at a produce stand that always has good veggies. Feasting on fresh corn tonight.

Independence Missouri, next to Kansas city. My little house is on land that was a camping ground for the 3 major trails west and the park behind my house links to President Truman's Library.

No great plans for the week thanks to the unusual heavy rains that have continued made the rivers too dangerous for novices on canoes. Workin on catching up on projects and hangin out with the grandsons. Away from work for a week is awesome.
