Suggestions - I find it helpful to put some stuff in the salad to give it some pizzazz. Maybe some toasted nuts, a few dried cranberries, grilled meats, bacon bits, crumbled blue cheese...etc. Not enough to add lots of calories, but enough to add flavor, and meats are mostly protein anyway. Helps keep the salads from being boring. Also found some raspberry vinagrette dressing that's pretty low cal, about 80 calories per serving, that gives some sweetness if that's what the craving is. Stick with it, in the long run it's worth it. Just find ways of getting in some variety without wrecking your plan.

Great suggestions. Quickly drank a can of seltzer and following that up with some green tea. Feeling stuffed and I am only at 663 calories for the day so far. I can do this. Don't stop with the support, I need it.

I have a salad everyday, sometimes twice. I always eat it with some protein: meat, fish or dairy products or it would be just too bland. Lettuce on it's own is not tasty to me.

Not fond of plain lettuce myself...grill tons of veggies during the summer - they taste great with light oil/herbs, go with everything (esp. good protein) and gives me VARIETY. i gotta have it - sounds like you might, too...my favorites are slabs or skewers of mexican gray squash, eggplant, brussel sprouts (cut in half), green onions, asparagus. Try whatever you like, put em on your protein, add them to your salads...

Put it on an open face sandwich with hummus or avacado slices, use a wasa bread, or an ezekial bread for the crisp you crave, the fatty hummus or avacado helps with fullness sensation. Follow up an hour or two later with a celery juice. Kind of helps me get over the "Done with boring lettuce," too. Hang in there; it gets better!

I think add spinach to just about every meal. It's easy to hide a salad in stuff throughout the day...rather than eating it as a meal.

Lettuce is boring with out dressing, I can have a side of sliced tomatoes, avocado and cucumbers with salt, pepper and a squeeze of lime and love it. Try a Groung Beef taco salad and mix the lettuce with canned salsa such a Heredez, low cal and Tasty.
