Wow, I certainly understand that feeling. We have to just hang in there and let this phase pass. Just think, we have summer quickly approaching and it can be filled with activity and fresh fruits and veggies. We just need a change-up and do something a little different. You might go back to some earlier food records when you were losing and try to duplicate them. That's my plan for now, plus I'm looking into some different salads. I want to find some lighter foods. We're going to do this! It's time to make it happen!

I've been there before, so many times, and I'm sure I'll be there again. I weighed in this past Monday at the same damn weight I'd been at for three weeks! I was so discouraged (even though I'd been through it before) and started to think it wasn't worth it busting my ass just to break even every freakin week. Then on Wednesday the scale had me down three pounds, seriously?? In retrospect the evidence of progress was there all along, looser fitting jeans, better self image, etc. but I didn't see any of it at the time because the scale didn't agree and that was all I could see. Stick with it. I'm sure your signs of progress are there, the scale will catch up. It will be worth it.

Hang in there...I feel your frustration (pain)....One thought that has helped me deal with days (and sometimes weeks) of NO LOSS...is the following....ONLY 3 results are possible when we weigh...and 2 of then are POSITIVE...Take Care and also remember the scale is just ONE of our tools.

Pink Rose, take a minute to listen to your icon. I know this is tough. I know this is hard. I know this is humbling. I know at times the Idiot Box doesn't deliver the results we feel we deserve. But just like I had to do, please realize, that a no gain is a win. A no gain means you did not take on additional weight, that you will now have to work harder to take back off. A no gain means you did not digress. This journey will lead you down many paths; but can only be accomplished in one way, YOU CANNOT QUIT!!! Be tenacious Pink Rose. Be fierce Pink Rose. Let out the negativity & breathe in the positivity. You can do this. Have a long talk with your inner self that wants you to build the Pink Rose you seek to be. Re-focus your efforts to make that goal happen. Then strap on your climbing gear. Get back on this mountain. And set your mind to reaching the peak. We are a community of peak seekers Pink Rose. You are a peak seeker. Nothing will satisfy you more than reaching that peak. Now let's back to climbing.

I sometimes stall for weeks at a time, like now. But I know I'm building muscle and trying new stuff to shake things up. Better health! You have it! You will get there. Just keep on keeping on.

Thank you fellow fs-ers. I appreciate your comments. It has been a difficult road. I have been stalled since before Christmas.

Hi Pink Rose, I'm so sorry you're feeling frustrated & blue. I just returned from a very stressful "vacation", helping my MIL prep her home for sale since she is moving into an assisted living apartment. Hubby's 2 Sis's aren't speaking to each other, & other things made this time very upsetting for all. Before vacation I had just barely broken a months-long plateau at 250 lbs. I've been eating things I know I shouldn't, & overeating at times too. I weighed in today expecting to have gained several lbs, but guess what? That crazy scale says I actually lost a whole pound! Point is, that scale is tricky & devious, & is often much more an enemy than a friend. So, when it doesn't say what you want it to, just ignore it! YES, ignore it! NOT that you should ignore what you eat or give up on eating right & losing weight. Just quit worrying about the numbers on the scale & focus on why you feel as you do, & how you can "fix" what's wrong & return to a more positive outlook. You know where you are now, & where you want to be, & how to get there. How badly do you want this? What's keeping you from your goal? As long as you're still trying to lose weight, & not binging or gaining significantly, you're on the right track. Just keep going & don't let that naughty scale discourage you. Soon you'll be back in action, kicking some serious weight loss butt! Skinny Hugs, GLAMMER
