Day 19 using fatsecret and still no results yet. As of last week, I had GAINED 2lbs and there's no loss thhis week either. I'm right where I was last week. I've been working out 3x a week for 45 mins. I know muscle weighs more than fat but I joined this program 3 weeks ago so i could reach a goal of dropping 10lbs by June 19. At this rate, that's not going to happen :-( Trying to decide if I want to go back to my old program that left me hungry or hang out here for a bit longer and see if something happens.

Muscle actually weight the same as fat but takes up less volume. It is very possible you are holding water due to muscle repairing due to your exercise. I find it really helpful to use a tape measure to see how I am doing. Also pics once a month in the same outfit. Sometimes a pic or the tape shows loss the stupid scale does not.

Yeah, I didn't start measurements til last week. And when I used MFP, I did take pics just about every 5lbs that I lost. I lost 34lbs on MFP but it took me 11 months. Thanks for your comment.

Amy - you can adjust your RDI down to meet your personal needs. I have mine at 1,400 but try to stay under.

BuffyBear, I just readjusted it to go down to 1500, so we'll see :-) I've got 9 weeks to lose now 12lbs since I gained 2.

I readjusted my calories. There's no way the website knows my personal lifestyle, so I did research and adjusted it to me. LOL. I have a desk job and absolutely no exercise during work hours, except a walk during lunch when it gets nice. I count calories and put every single thing I put in my mouth in my food journal--even when I cheat and don't want to put it down. LOL. There was only one night that I didn't enter it and that was a while ago. Two pounds is not a lot to worry about. I go down, up a little, down more and my weight has gone from 221 to 206 as of today. Two pounds can be muscle, water, the scale. They say it's better to lose it slowly, so we shall see :)

Keep up the good work - you are doing the right thing! Don't be afraid to use something besides the scale to measure your success. The scale can't measure how you feel. When I am getting discouraged about the scale, I whip out the measuring tape or perhaps those pants that are my goal to fit into - it really helps.

I looked through various places on line to calculate what I need to consume in order to lose weight. Everything else comes out to 1350-1450 calories, so I dropped my RDI here to 1400 and I'm hoping that works. Thanks everyone!

May I also suggest looking at the pie graph each day at the bottom of your food diary page? You could try increasing your percentage of protein and reducing the percentage of carbs. It may boost your metabolism enough to start losing.
