This is hard but you can do it, we all can. Even with the ups and downs. Stick to it! We've all been there and we'll be there again. We have to keep getting back on the wagon and begin again.

Hey we all have these days where we think its not worth it, but let me tell you something, YOU are worth every effort you make. Besides if this was easy everyone would be thin.

Girl, its been a hard month or two for me too. many times I think of giving up. Don't do it. even if it takes a month to get rid of a pound. that's 12 pound less in the year. we can do it.

Take a minute and click on everyone's name here and go to their weight chart. Scroll all the way down until you come to the colored bars. You'll get an idea of how much each of us have lost over time. And yes, we did get discouraged along the way. But still plugging away. You can do it too. Promise.

Sometimes this whole process can be so frustrating. Remember that you need to invest the time and energy in yourself. That is definitely harder some days than other, but don't give up. Shake off what went before and do the best you can now. Like ClassicRocker said, if you look at the histories of the folks on FS, you'll find stories of hard work over time, but with setbacks along the way. Do your best today!

Whoa! I see you are having a bit of a problem...Question is do you really want to weigh 130lbs? Truth is you can! Question then is what are you willing to do to reach this goal! I believe you should back up and regroup. What I mean is you are a long way from this goal. Why not try this approach. Go back to the begining and reestablish your goal. It appears that the last time you weighed in has been almost a month ago...whatever...it was 259...embrace that for a moment. Reestablish your goal weight to 258 lbs and try that! And so on... Next...you are going to have to cut out how you are presently consuming food. You must eat better. There are numerous charts showing you how to portion your food on your plate...The key is to reduce the amount of food. Instead of eating a 1/2lb hamburger...eat a 1/4lb burger...stop eating white bread and buns...try whole wheat..but look at the sugar in these... Stop eating store bought food like TV Dinners etc...buy fresh vegitables, chicken and other healthy type foods. EAT Three of FOUR meals a day and try to limit your caloric intake...If your RDI chart shows you need to eat 2000 calories...then you will need to cut out some number below that in order to LOOSE weight...generally this is to maintain number... YOU CAN DO THIS...but you have to work every meal at it! GOOD LUCk...LET ME KNOW IF I CAN BE OF ANY HELP

Thank you everyone, this was extremely encouraging, THe third and 4th week of my diets is always in the hardest and trust me i know because ive been on a lot of them, the thing is I keep on going to the grocery stores and picking up things I know are not good for me, like right now, I have a TGI FRIDAYS box of wings in my fridge im planning on eating for dinner, I just give it to my sister.

good job giving the junk away. so proud. When im at the store, I try to stay on the outside edge of the supermarket. that's where you will find the fruits, veggies, raw meats, and dairy. the center isle are mostly fillers. you will find spices on the bakery isle. (that's where I have trouble) but I try to poke my head in at the end and get my spices and coconut oil and make a run for it. :) you can do this!!

That's my trick too, Nikihampton...just to stay out of the grocery aisles and shop the perimeter where the fresh stuff is. I generally only venture onto the beans/rice aisle and grains on a regular basis. Other than that, all the 'health' food starts screaming my name on the snack aisle! I have to remind myself that the healthiest snacks (like fruit or string cheese) don't come with a label. They sit quietly in their places waiting for me (and my thighs) to notice them (LOL)! Try shopping with a reusable grocery bag too or a hand basket vs a rolling cart. Makes it that much harder to fill it with other than necessities.

Listen, I had all this in mind when I went to the grocery store this morning, but I had to buy olive oil, which is located in the middle of the aisle, so while I was looking for the oil, Instead of asking one of the workers where the oil aisle is, I went from aisle to aisle looking for the olive oil, and ended up picking up chicken wings, 2 carton of ice cream,(ben and jerrys), cheese zits, jam and kung pao chicken.

lol. yep. that's me from time to time. stay focused. luC2 I push a cart. I have 6 kids. with that when I break down and get junk. I leave it out for them to get to before I can. lol
