I will admit Chocolate is my guilty pleasure. Not dark chocolate, I am talking milk chocolate...specifically peanut M&Ms or snickers. I love the taste. I know that i have to wean myself off of those types of sweets but damn, its hard. Think happy thoughts...think happy thoughts...peanut M&Ms...no! LOL..

Peanut Butter M&Ms are mine... Like, hey, peanuts have protein, right? I have tried to slowly eat them to limit myself but that is a slippery slope and I fail every single time. I am staying away for now. Once I get to goal, I will experiment but I really need to gain that discipline. Abstinence is best for me until I build that internal voice that says 'YOU WILL STOP AT ONE HANDFUL'.

Peanut Butter not as good, health wise, as the whole peanut. Just like Orange juice is not as good for you as the orange. Have you ever wondered how OJ always tastes the same from a brand perspective? Tropicana cartons always sweet, Minute Maid is tangy...they squeeze the oranges then they take out the water from the juice. They store the juice then when it comes time to put it in cartons they reformulate the juice with different water and add in an orange essential oil/flavoring. Its not good for you...its sad because I love OJ but unless you see the oranges squeezed in front of you, you are getting a reconstituted concoction. You are better off eating an orange OR getting freshly squeezed OJ. I believe someone told me there is a youtube video about the ugly secrets of Supermarket Orange Juice.

It's just all bad, ugh! I really don't like OJ actually, too acidic. I will eat an orange, though.

You should deff try to wean into dark chocolate, try going to 55% dark then upward as your taste buds adapt because dark chocolate does have many benefits. I actually eat dark chocolate once in a while during my diet, it also keeps me sane

I made the mistake of telling my husband I had a craving for peanut m and ms a couple of weeks ago. He brought some home! Luckily it was a small package. I couldn't resist them once they were here. He learned his lesson lol.

I too have an addiction for m&ms but I prefer the plain. Two months ago I switched to dark chocolate. I first tried the hershey's dark then moved to the dove dark. Now I eat fruit as my sweet fix. I usually make a parfait with a little cool whip. It's filling and tastes like dessert.

I love all types of chocolate. Maybe I will add in one piece per week during a favorite TV show in the evening... Baby steps. I wish they would sell the individually wrapped chocolates individually, does that make sense? A whole bag of individually wrapped chocolates does NOT stop me just because they are wrapped AND inside a bag...

isn't that a valid source of protein? one of the food groups??

Peanut M&M's are on the top of my food pyramid! Lol. Had a good salad and soup today, I hope that gets rid of my M&M craving today. Getting ready for some weight loss progress.

I also love chocolate so I have to be very careful around it. I have been successful at times with portion sizes of dark chocolate - I'm talking the miniatures or the squares of dark chocolates...keeping a few on hand and allowing myself to eat one every couple days. And then there's been the times where I've gone overboard and scarfed down every one I could find until they were gone. It's a slippery and dangerous slope.

JMB3450 - That is the truth...a handful of M&Ms leads to another handful...I have to be so careful and set a limit. Chocolate can be addicting.

When I really want chocolate, I eat sugar free chocolate pudding. It helps a lot. But since I have a chocolate instant breakfast (with nonfat milk) every day it keeps the cravings away. But chocolate wrapped peanuts? NOTHING better in this world lol.
