Wow what a day I had today. Didn't have time for my usual morning entry today. Had to get to the office early for an all day training class on Coaching and Mentoring- How to do it better. I have been a coach/mentor for many years but I always find valuable tips at these classes. I also use them (especially now) to get some networking done & make new professional contacts within our organization.

Flash backwards to last Sunday's sermon at church: God brings the right people into your life at the right time.

Flash forward to today: A gal sat next to me in class who was not even scheduled for it, she came and crashed it because she knew one of the instructors. Thru talking during one of the exercises we found out that we both worked at a previous employer at the same time 15 yrs ago and know some of the same people.
We had another exercise where we were rollplaying and I started talking about losing my current job shortly and finding it difficult to refocus upon what else I may want to do within the company.

Long story short, she has two openings in her department for exactly the type of work I do and is very interested in talking to me further. I told her about last Sunday's sermon and she said she felt an instant connection to me as well. We are meeting next week to discuss the opportunities.

Oh Yes, I was able to coach her thru a solution to her problem which she had been struggling with as well.
Thank You Lord, I am emotionally exhausted as I sit here tonight and type away.

As for the food today, yikes! I have way over eaten in calories, macro and micro nutrients but it seemed like my tastes buds were working over driver all day. I wanted sweet, ...no I wanted salty....no I wanted spicy. Nothing seemed to satisfy, hence the supper tonight which includes comfort food of cheese tortollini in cheese sauce with some roasted chicken thrown in for good measure!!!

I'm glad your day wasn't a total bust - wishing you the best in getting that new job - but are you sure you want it? You may not be able to work in your PJ's any more. Get some rest.

Buffy, thankfully my company encourages a work/life balance and working from home is strongly encouraged. I see jammies continuing to be in my future if this works out!!

Sounds like you're in a period of transition, and things are exciting. No wonder you're having such changeable cravings!

Good evening, Babs! I have long been of the opinion that God does indeed put people in our lives at the right time. I am so happy for you that you were able to experience this phenomenon up close and personal. Have a good night, friend, and wake up to more opportunities tomorrow, Hugs!

That really IS something! Looking forward to hearing about your meeting next week. As for the eating, I was feeling like that yesterday...wanted to eat, eat, eat. It was annoying. One higher cal day won't hurt, trust me. :) Today I worked in my green St Patrick's Day jammie pants that I found at Old Navy for $5 last month. It was awesome. ;)

I'm so glad God or cooincidence is working in your favor. Keep you fingers crossed and/or say a prayer that some work will come my way soon. It's kind of scary out here in forced retirement land. On the diet front, tomorrow is another day...
