Well, the weekend was interesting. Went to two beerfests, got very sick....threw up so much I almost lost a whole pound. TMI, I know. I used to be a drinker, and I have finally come to the conclusion that I no longer am (not a bad thing, I always feel like crap and I gain weight). So now that my tummy is back to normal, for the most part, hubby and I are sharing a sinus infection. When it rains it pours right? Sheesh lol...doping myself up with sinus meds and vitamin C. I really need to concentrate at work, but here I am, 40 minutes into it and I'm journaling instead of working...whoops! I did fight thru the icky feeling and bike this morning, sweating profusely, it was kinda gross. Hopefully, that'll help kick this sinus infection to the curb!! :)

PS.....Is it really only Tuesday???????????

Hope you feel better soon! And, yes, sadly it is only Tuesday...which is good because I am not even close to being done with two papers that are both due next Monday.

Well actually it is late Tuesday night if you are in Asia :) way to go on the bike it will sweat all the toxins from the Beer out but the key thing is did you have a good time before you got sick, if you did good for you if you didnt beer plus puking bad news.

I had to come to a similar conclusion when I was enrolled in a graduate program to become a winemaker and the regular alcohol consumption just didn't jive with my health goals. I wanted to be a winemaker for the previous 15 years, and was kind of heartbroken when I realized it wasn't going to happen. The ironic part is I don't miss it as much as I thought I would. I definitely don't miss the hangovers, the inflammation, the idiotic behavior, the way it would compromise my immune system, the weight gain, and the cost! Hope you feel better soon, Twinnie!

No shame in teetotaling now and again. All things in moderation. I've come to the same conclusion as you about imbibing and I use to throw down hard. Nothing sadder than an aging wannabe rock star (my mind's eye). I hope you feel better. Sounds like u sweated out the gunk. :)
