Have some peanut butter instead, often works for me.

If that mantra works, please let me know! LOL!!!

Chocolate isn't the enemy lol. It is the sugar in it. Chocolate is actually good for you in small amounts. You could melt some 70 to 80% cocoa and drizzle over berries. Or mix some baking chocolate with yogurt and berries for an indulgent "fix" for your chocolate craving. Plan it out so it fits into your calories for the day. Depriving yourself might make the chocolate craving worse. Have fun!

I eat sugar free chocolate pudding. That little half a cup keeps my chocolate cravings happy. I'm not a big fan of sugar anyway. Good idea about melting it over fruit. Might have to try it. Wonder how it would be on oranges lol.

Chocolate cravings are one of two (or both) things: magnesium deficiency or candida overgrowth in the body.

Been completely added sugar free /processed foods free/ flour free for months now but I love my chocolate... Every day I eat a serving or 2 of pudding made with 1 tbsp cocoa, or 1 tbsp special dark cocoa powder and either 1 tbsp chia seeds & water or 1 teaspoon of plain metamucil and water. I don't care for sweeteners with my chocolate, if I did, I might add stevia, as it is the only one that still seems to be safe. If I want a richer, smoother blend, I add a teaspoon of coconut oil. Been told you can whip the mixture into a to die for frothy mousse, but it never makes it that far with me. I also have one square per day ghirardelli 100 % cocoa premium baking squares, which are 210 calories for 3 squares, which is 70 calories per square (which is what I use as my portion) the equivalent of 1 teaspoon of fat. You need non trans fats, especially saturated fat for your brain so I do not worry about it. Only 2 grams of carbs per square. I used to also have the 72% baking bars, but it got to where they tasted too sweet to me, and I prefer to use the carbs in my keto diet on green or brightly colored vegis

Good input CathyWall. I would try that too. I tried the sugar free pudding but it has aspartame in the ingredient list, if that is the one being referred to here. I avoid sweeteners in general. I do keep real honey and real maple syrup on hand in case I bake for friends or family. Even then I will sub non sweetened fruit juices when possible.

I like your new avatar, although I thought it was a photo of you in shorts with your belly button showing. Thought the legs were too skinny. It kind of creeped me out.

It is cute, guessing it's in a claw machine.

Instead of chanting about the chocolate you do not need, try replacing that with 'I want a fresh (fruit), I want a healthy (veg). The mind cannot process the word 'no'. The more you say 'no choc' all the brain processes is 'choc'.

Good suggestion, this post even had me wishing for chocolate, did have a couple little bars at work, one of the bosses had them on her desk for the taking. Really wanted some driving back from the ball game, didn't stop, made a veggie burger @ Home and a glass of wine. No more craving, I think I was just hungry.

My brain does behave like a 2 year old that doesn't understand the word no. I did not eat chocolate yesterday. Northernmusician, I've been trying to figure out which part of that picture you thought was my belly button???

That is exactly what I've been telling myself for the last two weeks!

Not sure. It was rather surreal. I may have been drinking wine with wholefood?

Need chocolate>>>want chocolate. I think I always want chocolate. A healthy chocolate protein shake does me good most mornings, if let myself indulge in the real stuff then I have a battle on my hands most of the time.
