Who knows? Our bodies are betraying us as we age. Remember the day we could split a large pizza and a pitcher of beer at midnight, go to bed and never gain an ounce. Oh flashing back... Just glad you're back.

I want to be back and I need to be back. I keep on saying "I'll start tomorrow" but tomorrow never comes.

Memories... at least they won't put the weight on.

BuffyBear, you can do it. You have done this before. Just a few minutes a day tracking. If you want to share with us. You know we will all be there for you to lean on. I know I have to keep on tracking to remind me or I'll be back to my old ways. My issue is giving in to being mentally exhausted after work and not exercising even though I know I will feel so much better, mentally and physically.

Hi, Buffy. It's the same as any addiction. You have to straighten it out in your head first. Glad to see you posting. How's the little tree in your avatar doing?

Understand that!

Buffy, we are here for you, but like NM said, we can't do that first step for you. It's funny to read the guys' comments about extreme adventures in binging/eating from their youth. I NEVER had that experience. I always had to watch what I ate. The only time in my entire adulthood that I could relax a little was right after nursing school, when I didn't have super-young children any more and my work schedule was ideal for "me time," aka working out.

Know what impresses the hell out of me with you girl... you keep coming back. You don't disappear into the universe never to return. That tells me you've still got it and want it. It will kick in.

What they said, ditto. It doesn't get easier, you just get better. And keep coming back here or anywhere that offers you some support and understanding while you remember to forgive yourself.

Wholefoodnut - I fully understand that dilemma. Can't wait until fall so I can get back into walking the nature trail at lunch time.

Northernmusician - You have got the word right - "addiction". It is all in one's head. BTW - my tree produced one big perfect peach but something got to it before I did.
