Yes, Yolanda. In fact, it's common in some types of yoga practices to focus on your "navel pulse" when doing some poses. I can feel mine very strongly when I'm lying down.

WHEW ... glad to read I'm not the only one. Yes, I feel mine too when I've lost weight... NOT so much this time but in the past when I was using appetite suppressants and binge/purge so my stomach was flatter (yeah, the sick way to a flat stomach) so I wondered if it was the low dose of speed in the phenteramine I was taking back then (in my 40's) causing my pulse to pound even at my navel. If I'd known about the aortic anuerysm I'd have worried myself nuts!

Forget about what we feel, please go to the doctor and have him check you out. Hopefully, you are fine. Hope your mother-in-law has a speedy recovery.

Definitely make an appointment with your doctor. Do not try to self-diagnose.

Since you have a history of obesity (though not now) and you have smoked...it should be checked. We are pretty much lay people that are not medical personnel. Therefore just because someone has it also does not make it ok. I know you don't have insurance...but please have it checked!

Take care of yourself, Yolanda. I need you around to keep posting all these crazy challenges. :P Get yourself checked if you feel any concern and then put your mind at ease.
