Good morning everyone!! Today is the official start of my 75 in 31 challenge. For some reason FS thinks it doesn't start until midnight but I think that's just a time zone issue. Start logging miles today! I intend to go on a walk with my client today, then a nice bike ride after work tonight. Tomorrow I will go to the gym for some miles and strength training. That's the plan.
All things food? Back on track from the weekend. Yesterday was on point. I ended up making fried fish sandwiches for dinner because it's cheap, but I passed on the fried fish and had a quick tuna sandwich instead. Good choices all around.
I'm shocked by the fillers in processed foods. For example, a chicken breastfeeding has upwards of 20g of protein, but a chicken pattie only has ten. 5g of Protein in a fish sandwich pattie, only 3 in a hot dog. It's ridiculous how little real meat is in these foods. Sucks to be me with such poor choices to choose from today. Ah, I will do the best I can.
That's about it for now I guess. It's difficult typing on my phone at work lol.
Hope everyone has a wonderful day!!

Kind of like them raising shrimp in cesspools filled with antibiotics that are banned in the US and shipping the shrimp back here. Make sure the store designates the origin. I'm going back to the oven stuffers.

All this chicken talk is for the birds. I'm eating some chicken laced with MSG right now. Let's see what happens.

What's on the menu for dindin... left over chicken. OMG. And as a matter of fact, I think it had 3 eyes.
Chica... you will probably sprout feathers. Hell, I should be flying by now with all the chicken I eat.

LOL, CR! It's too late. I think this will be my last chicken meal for one month. I'll try anyway. I'll just eat contaminated fish.

They're trying to kill us, aren't they?

I prefer to get my antibiotic and hormone doses from beef, my favoritest protein lol

CR! They are not. They're trying to kill us and save us all at the same time. There's more money to be made that way.

Indeed NM. They want to make us sick so we will pay them to cure us lol

What a happy bunch we are today. It's the weather, isn't it? Well, for us in the US... for our friends in Canada, it's, I don't know. What makes you guys crazy up there other then the buzzard size mosquitoes?

Love this post! Needed a laugh ....chicken breastfeeding. So true about the shrimp, etc. Can't get much "organic" anything at stores around here. Local grocery stores (including Food Lion) sell seafood mostly imported from Asian countries "farmed" even though we are on the coast, and we have men who fish and crab for a living.

What makes us crazy up here? Don't get us started!!!! lol Next to this side of the sea, it's like living in a fridge for 6/7 months, and then stepping into a sauna.

Wow... that would make for crazy. Would much prefer to fridge compared to now.

My bloodline comes from south of the border, I'll take a sauna any day of the week and twice on Sunday :)

Maunikmtl, that already happens with a lot of American wild seafood (particularly Alaskan Salmon). Gets harvested, exported then imported!?!?! To my understanding, what we import is a much lower quality than what we send to other nations. So it seems we pay more for a lesser product...it's cra-zee!! I just heard an NPR article yesterday on new book "Four Fish: The Future of the Last Wild Food," Paul Greenberg.

If you ask me, it's disgusting! They play with our health to the benefit of shareholders, which must always make more. The mentality is, if we didn't equal last years profits, we're losing money. (even if we are making money). I need to switch tabs and go back to work... lol

That's correct, Northern...Dead people neither pay taxes, buy health insurance, swipe cards for copays nor spend $100's per month on long-term care medications. A "sort of" food supply gives us a "sort of" quality of life that is sustainable (albeit painful) for 30 years -- like Diabetes and some cancers...fat, sick and nearly dead seem to be the goals. Short of buying a cow, goat, some chickens and growing all my own food, I am simply at a loss of how you feed a family of 5 the "right" stuff for health and wellness. I cook 24/7 as it is!!! Yes, Maunikmtl, go back to work so you can afford that pasture-raised chicken @ $7.99 lb! I almost can't afford to overeat these days -- definitely not on meats! (LOL)

But we could easily afford to overeat on little Debbie snack cakes, as the junk is so damn reasonable in price.
