Good Morning!!! Another successful day in the books, hooray for me :).

I worked a long day yesterday, and resisted temptation at every turn! There was coffee cake there, seriously!! By the end of the day it was singing my name. I didn't have the best meal options available either. I made some pretty decent choices, and avoided all those empty carbs so I would call that a win. When I finally got home (7:30pm) after being gone ALL DAY, I was kind of making excuses why I shouldn't go on a bike ride. It's too hot, it's too late, I'm really tired. It was my husband who kind of gave me the push out the door. His reply was "well the suns going down so you won't be too hot and you could use a break, just go." So I went. I felt like a damn kid lol. About twelve years since I'd been on a bike, I kind of had a blast lol. I remember it being a lot easier though.... I took off down the bike trail and just kept going until I ran out of trail. A round trip total of just under 9 miles. Glad I went, according to FS I burned mega calories, which I believe because I was all sweaty and gross. So I'm going to give myself 3 "challenge" miles for that trip. 3 down 72 to go! My legs and butt are killing me! I need one of those old lady seats on the bike, I think I bruised my pubic bone.

Today I am off, woohoo. Loving every second of it as I sit here journaling and drinking my coffee. Going to do some cleaning and then lounge in the pool later. Ah, living the life lol. By all rights I should go to the gym today to squeeze in some more miles, or maybe I'll just take the kids on a long walk. We will see :) I'll get some miles one way or the other!

Has anyone wondered about my kittens?? My babies :) Last night Mike Honcho, my last male kitten, found a home with a wonderful family. We had been looking for a long time and had thought that we would be stuck with him forever when we got a message from a nice woman. Her family cat of ten years had passed, and they were ready to adopt another cat, they chose my honcho. So happy for him :). Now I just have Lola, and my adult cat Bella. Buuuut, I think I will be bringing my black cat back from my moms. I miss her, and my mom isn't falling in love with her as much as I thought she might. So I'll have three girls, and my Hoss. Does that still make me crazy cat lady status?? I'm unsure what the cut off number is for cats lol.

Those little furbabes are adorable!! And no, that doesn't constitute crazy cat lady status! Me on the other hand, yep, catlady!! Get ready for this, and don't faint,...we have.....17!! Of varying ages! Some were ferals that we brought in for safety, the others were born here. All the boys are fixed in here to prevent more litters, and the girls are slowly getting done. Have fun on your day off, and try exercising in the pool!!! You get a great workout, and have fun doing it!! Have a great day Yo!!

Good job on the bike ride and on finding a home for the kitty. In my personal opinion, 1 cat is too many :) But I actually have 2. So if that is catlady status - so be it. As long as I don't have to wear my hair all up on my head like some of them do... That is just not for me LOL

LOVE the kitties - so cute! Great job on the bike ride. Get yourself some of the cycling shorts with the pad in the butt. They really help, even if they do feel strange at first. Some of the better ones don't look so padded either - but unfortunately you still feel like you're wearing a diaper....LOL. But, better a diaper than a sore crotch!

Amen kiki! :) I will keep my eye out for some cycling shorts! I forgot you were the anti-cat Alex lol. Thanks Lu & Rockiesfan :)

I don't think you're at cat lady status yet, you'd have to add a few more. Now Puma on the other hand... :) You did great yesterday, and I'm sure you'll do great today too. I want to get a bike because it will be easier on my knees, but just haven't wanted to spend the money yet, but I'm sure I'll be falling off and my kids will have to teach me to ride again. Great job getting those miles in!!

That 9 miles is nothing to sneeze at. You did a FANTASTIC job!!!! Your husband is definitely as the young kids call it "THE MAN." He kept you on target and you came out feeling better about just doing it. I applaud you both. That is what I call TEAM Work.

This is a weird statement, but your crotch will adjust. LOL. Really. My sister did RAGBRAI one year and she said you have to get a lot of time on the bike seat to avoid being too saddle-sore. Muscles are muscles, I guess, and more time in the seat builds muscles in that area. Anywhoooo I love your kitty pictures what cuties! Seems like the hardest thing about bike riding is actually getting on it and getting out there - once I do that I'm wondering what the hold up was! Have a great day off!

my husband says we only have 2 laps, so we can only have 2 kitties. we just had some lovely kittens in the alley and hanging out in our yard. i really wanted one of them. my neighbor caught them an sent them to the no kill shelter, which will be good for them. i'm sure they will be adopted right away. so cute!! good job on the bike and with your food.

If I thought Mush wouldn't kill me in my sleep I'd get a kitty .. I used to love how independent they can be. Good on you for the ride. I talked myself out of the same last night.. need your DH to come push me out the door too I guess.

Ah, Bella, as I wobbled around on the bike at take off I thought of you and your tequila bike ride. I was praying I wouldn't fall over when I slowed to cross roads lol. Thanks Meg, I'll tell my crotch you said to get the hell over it lol
