Photoshop ~ a picture used to be a thousand words; with PS it's worth twice that but only 1% believable.

Amazing, and so true... And I've also seen evidence where a good portion of those *before* and *after* pics come from sites like FS, but the person has no idea their photos are being used, nor did they ever use whatever product is being sold.

Yeah, I never fall for it. I noticed with women in particular, they always show them with a terrible haircut/hairdo, little or no make-up, looking like they didn't sleep well the night before, pasty, and in very uncomplimentary outfits. Then, miraculously, the woman gets a total make-over. Tan, great hair, great outfit, smile on her face, obviously slept 8+ hours the night before. Such a scam!

This sort of stuff has been going on for years. My BFF in the day, was a model and they had her do photos to be published for a local weight loss center. They enhanced her thighs without telling her and she went ballistic, which I think was justified.

I am semi intelligent, been around the block a time or two (or three) and I've bought into the pills and stuff. I know better but think, "THIS one just might be different and I dont want to miss out" *le sigh*

Some do not even look like the same person after that make-over the hair color, make-up clothes etc. Agreed gillian
