Yes, it really did go up that much (more actually earlier this week that I wouldn't post) Decided when it was telling me to weigh in that it was time to post. I am thinking most of this is because of my shoulder injury and that I am retaining fluids because of the swelling that I can't see. I also can't see the out of place bone that the Chiro keeps working on. Yesterday I did hear it pop when he went to put my shoulder back in...So that I know was out. The doctors keep telling me that there is swelling inside everything. I will have to trust that is what is going on. I can't believe that it is over 5 lbs...but...I guess a gallon of water weighs 8 lbs. Can I really have over a gallon of swelling going on??? It was a week ago yesterday evening that I fell...

Ouch! I bet the shoulder has a lot to do with it - probably both the swelling but maybe because you haven't been able to move or exercise the same! Good for you for still posting - I think that's what's gonna keep us on track. Good luck and hope you feel better real soon!

Swelling related to your injury isnt just going to be at the site of the injury but throughout your whole circulatory system. Your body is constantly bringing in new fluids and whisking away the old. You have tons of cells working hard at repairing and rebuilding tissues. Its actually quite remarkable when you think about it. Trust the process k, it is what it is and those numbers will come back down. I hope your shoulder feels better very soon.

Thank you to you guys for trying to help me see the positive side. It is just so overwhelming...first there was the issue with my hubby's heart (which we still don't have answers for...just medical bills showing up). That led to a lot of stress eating. I had just reined that back in and was close to getting back to my low weight. Now with the bills that will be hard to keep from stress eating about. Now it is this shoulder thing. I won't begin to say that it is not tempting to just throw in the towel and go get a dozen doughnuts, then a bag of salty chips, followed by a bunch of chocolate and capped off with a cheeseburger meal complete with fries and a gigantic Mountain Dew! I cannot tell you how tempting all of those items are to me right now!!! Instead I am staring at my bottle of water and the four ibuprofen sitting in front of me. I will down the water to take the ibuprofen...then I will eat the 80 calorie bun with 80 calorie piece of summer sausage that I brought for my lunch...with a few Cheez-it grooves to satisfy my salt craving (one thing at a time after all...). Tonight when I get home from work I will cook the Pollock fish fillets that I have thawing in the fridge. I will make myself a lettuce salad and try to keep myself out of the kitchen after that. See I just had to type it to get it out of my system...
