Annabelle3117's Journal, 20 March 2014

Good morning all! Scale is moving in the right direction, although I wont log a new weight until saturday or sunday. Even this far into my journey I still have a sigh of relief when the number shifts down lol. That was the first time this week that it has, but we all know weight loss takes its good old sweet time. Which reminds me, i did some number crunching the other night when I was chatting with the hubs about weight loss and I figured out that aside from my normal bmr to sustain life (around 2600/day) I have burned an additional 315,000 calories in the past year to equate my ninety pound loss. Imagine how much food that is, how much it would take to put that all back on. Ill never sweat a 'cheat meal' ever again. Wow, that's a LOT of extra calories.

Yesterday wasnt a bad day, Ive been keeping my intake a little higher on workout days, carbs were very reasonable. I am struggling a tad on non workout days so I think Im going to start eating later in the day on those days. My very own revised 16:8 lol. It seems like more when you start at lunch instead of breakfast.

Running makes me feel strong. When I can go long distances without heavy breathing or pains in my sides I feel invincible. Unfortunately, it makes my knee achy. Im going to do less running and more swimming. The up side is that swimming burns major calories, the down side is I cant wear my armband In the pool so I wont know how many. Ah well, cant have everything! Ill still run once a week or so, I just dont want to do any harm. Maybe it will warm up enough to start jogging outside, wouldnt that be nice.

I wanted to hit my 100lb loss by tomorrow. Spoiler alert, I wont lol. Ill be under ten pounds away though and being so close leaves me with no dissapointment. I will do my very best to get that goal as soon as possible. My birthday is the first week of April, my sons birthday in May and my daughters in June. I would like to see the seventies by May, but I dont want to go too far out on my goals. Lets conquer one set of tens at a time. Ive learned that youre not always going to make your goals in the time frame you had imagined, but thats okay. Once you get there it really doesnt matter how long it took.

A huge motivator for me is my brother in laws wedding to future SIL. That will allegedly be taking place november first. (I always simply referred to her as SIL, but she isnt officially.) I am not a fan of hers, in case you havent figured that out lol. For new followers ill do a basic recap, on my wedding eve she told me she wasnt "stupid enough" to get married. Ill be sure to reiterate that to her before her wedding. I aint saying shes a gold digger, but she aint messin with no broke *******. She's just an ugly person inside and out. She contantly fishes for compliments by bashing herself about her weight. Welp, now im all skinny and I will be hot shit at her wedding. I realize its a tad ugly of me to feel that way, but it is what it is.

Obviously I havent devoted the last year of my life to losing weight the right way simply to spite her... its just a bonus. A little gift to me from the universe, cashed in some karma chips for it. She practically turns green when im around. But hey, I offered to help her shed the pounds. Im sure some of you even remember that. So im clear, right? lol

Itll be another day in paradise for this chic. Got plenty of housework to catch up on, errands to run and work this evening. I hope all of you are having a wonderful and productive day. Heres to the weekend, I can smell it from here!

I used to do that number crunch when I'd wonder how I constantly swing, (swang? swung) from 150 to 300 and back. I would wonder 'how is it I never went to 400 or 600 like on TV? Was it 2 cheeseburgers instead of 3? Stuff like that. Good for you for feeling proud of yourself. Hold your head up high and relish that every eye is going to be on you :-)

Love reading your journals! I must admit I've got people in my life like your SIL so can easily relate. Yup, the karma bit will just be an added bonus for you - plus this is where you get to vent and we won't tell a soul! 😄. So happy for your continued loss and self confidence. Keep it up!

You are so close to the 100 lb loss! That's awesome! As for your SIL, I think we all have those people in our lives and we've all had that feeling of accomplishment when we know they're jealous of us or we just feel like we won the imaginary competition they somehow started. We're only human. You're doing great and no one can take that away from you! :)

How awesome is that - almost 100! I've started setting my goals every 10 pounds now as well - just seems to help with the motivation. I'm sure you know that your knees will get better as the weight comes off. My knees were killing me at 195, but were waaaay better at 180, so just stay strong and you'll be back to running in no time. Have a great day in paradise! Cheers.

Congrats on being so close to the 100lb mark!!!!!!!!! And as for your SIL, I have one of those (previously referred to as "karen")..she is a sociopath and a complete (badword -badword- badword). She is spitting nails she is so jealous of my weight loss. (The notion of the "spite" weight loss is more my frenemy I was talking about the other day). Remember, living well is the best revenge. So, you're gonna get the best of all, and look better than that skank your brother is marrying-on her own wedding day! hahahahahahhaha
