You never quit impressing me. You are a modern day "Wonder Woman". Okay. I quit too. Prior to losing. I hope you have a good backup/support system while getting through this period. No picnic. Not going to mince words. It's a beotch. Break out the celery sticks and baby carrots. And, of course, we're here for you. Take the $ you save from the ciggies, hoard it and buy yourself some exercise clothes. Hugs through all of this.

I switched to vapor over a year ago and now I'm really close to quitting that too. You can do it!

You Can do this! I quit and started my diet and exercise program at the same time. I used the Nicorette gum and celery sticks, carrots and apple slices. I gained one pound in the first two weeks but in the total 4 weeks lost an overall of 8 pounds. I will pray for ya! I know you got this!!!

I'd been smoking since i was 9 years old... I just quit, on Black Friday this past fall... haven't had a single cigarette since. My success is due to using the Vapor alternative. It helped so much that not only did I never cheat and have a fall back smoke, but I ended up forgetting to smoke... Check it out... I used the Vapoligy E-cig with the Cool Raspberry flavor, you can choose your nicotine start level and taper off as you move away from real smokes... and it's not expensive compared to smoking. your lungs will cheer within just days of the change over

I totally agree with the Vapor/E-cigs. They are wonderful. I quit 17 months ago and not one cigarette. I feel 100 times better.

I quit with vapor too. It's a pretty easy conversion if you get the right equipment. I've converted many people to it with great results.

I would rather just quit than use an alternative...its just easier for me to walk away from the whole act or thought of it all together...i will do this!!!

And it's the only way to survive! They really can kill ya if you keep smoking them!
Make sure you find new (and healthy) ways to deal with the stress of the daily grind and you should be just fine!

I kept trying to catch the habit when I was younger. (That was a long time ago.) It was still cool back then. I'd buy a pack, smoke three, and forget I had them. I'm a lucky guy. My addiction is just food. Well, espresso too, but I have to have some habits, don't I? I'll likely buy and smoke about 3 Dominican's over the summer. A friend brought me a couple of Cubans last year. Those things take work to smoke. Way to go Lauren. Whine and complain right her rather than giving in. Oh, and look up Newradio - Smoking on Youtube. You'll get a laugh out of it. I'm old. I miss that show.
