VondeLynn's Journal, 18 November 2008

Well, I did it and am back under the 300 mark (for now). That made me feel good this AM. I just think what I could do if I hadn't eaten that french onion soup on Saturday and not stolen a bite of my son's delightful cornbread from Hickory River BBQ! I can do this, I can do this, I can do this!!!

Thanks for the support and ideas, they always help. Keep them coming and I'll fire some back your way!

Have a great rest of the day, might check in later.

Just remember if you DO indulge in something high in sodium like the soup drink LOTS of water to flush it out and trim down the water retentionthat results. :)

Get rid of that for now under 300 lbs. midset. Any weight you want to reach is in sight. Take it from someone about seventy pounds lighter. Try thinking less about tasty junk and more about healthy foods. I do all the time. I have one advantage. I live alone. Thank goodness for that since every time I visit someone they're overeating tons of junk usually. I stopped hanging out where other friends eat unhealthy foods. You can do it. Make it a family thing - and realize you're shortening your lifespan and making yourself a candidate for diabetes, etc. the longer the weight stays on. You can do it. If everyone else wants junk let them have it. You control you. Holidays and birthday parties - maybe have fun. Those are party times for fun foods. Not every day. That is the thing that got all of us in these situations to begin with... Best wishes -- Glenn Remember you're not depriving yourself you're empowering yourself!!!!! That's my mantra or motto and it is so true!

Congrats VondeLynn - that is a great hurtle to jump. Glenn's right - leave the "for now" mindset behind. You can do this, make up your mind to stay on plan. Congrats again!

Great job! Just keep focused and keep at it. You'll see the under 200s soon enough. I know you can do it!

And forget the past. There is nothing you can do about it. That soup is over. And you are obviously over it...because you're still losing!
