Janelleas's Journal, 11 October 2008

I was so very darn good yesterday! So good that my calories will be low but I made good choices and wasn't hungry. I woke up this morning to SNOW!! We have snow storm warning today and expect up to 5 inches and this is just the first part of October!! I might have to go back to visit ImLuuvd, these winter's seem to get longer.
The birds from our backyard bird sanctuary have all gathered on my large patio table and the chairs to get out of the storm. I hate it when they do that!! but Hubby thinks it cute the way they don't even scare off and have their little "fluff and dry" party going on there.
Im happy because I did so well yesterday and the scale this morning already shows my effort. I am determined to go all the way to goal this time!

Aw, you should get pictures of the fluff and dry party! It does sound cute! I guess they are messy to clean up after, though. Enjoy the snow! Great job eating healthy yesterday!

Where do you live? Good job eating right yesterday! Stay warm!!! BTW, I'm jealous of the snow you're getting...I grew up in NYC where there was LOTS of snow, but now live in Richmond, VA, where we never see any...

Wow, can't believe you already have snow. I played golf today and was a little chilly with weather in the upper 60's. Good job on having such a good day! Keep it up!

I am "freezing" in LA! I think it is 55 degrees right now and I am using my laptop as a feet warmer! Snow would drive me right to the edge...

You could send some of the snow to Lower Alabama. I grew up in Utah and really miss the season's. I do get to see some in Dec when I go home for Christmas. Thankx for the advice on how you get your excerise in and I am going to try some of them.

I live in southern Idaho. My flower garden was still in bloom and today the flowers are covered with snow and frozen.. orange and yellow marigolds frozen with their colors still showing through, and all the reds and pansy's are all frozen as if they will stay that way forever. It is unusual for it to snow quite this early. The record is that it snowed in Sept. before. The winter's seem to be getting longer but I am hearing that everywhere. KellyBo is so funny... out playing golf in the upper 60's today while I had my warm boots on and heavy wool coat to go into town. Reina, you wouldn't be so jealous if you were the one shoveling snow out of the driveway! LOL Densible in LA where 55 actually is considered cold! and dontwant2befat I would gladly send some of our snow your way. Im just glad we bought a snow blower last year. so much easier to clear the driveway now. Todays snow melted off the driveway and street by noon, but its still about 3 inches on the grassy areas. It is rather pretty hanging on the trees and bushes.

Snow - wow. I still have my a/c running. Florida is still hot. Guess those birds are going to have fly south for the winter real soon.
