Herbie's Journal, 18 August 2008

Oh dear-- I've not done well at all on the diet this last week, and my weight has gone up. Bad, bad! I know better than this, but I've been having way too many treats and drinks and such. Time to kick it into high gear. I have done well on food today and rode my bike about 30 mins total. Tomorrow I'll get in some swimming, I hope. Can't let myself slip up like this too often.
132.0 lb Lost so far: 38.0 lb.    Still to go: 0 lb.    Diet followed poorly.
gaining 2.5 lb a week

Everyone has days and weeks like that! But your success shows you know just what to do to turn it back around. Go for it! :)

You caught youself and you know how to do it. I know you'll have it moving back down into your comfort zone in short time. It is a lifestyle isn't it.. so easy to get off track. Those nasty old habit keep sneaking up on us.. or at least ME!! I have great confidence you will take care of it.

At least you're still hanging around FS and consistently monitoring yourself so that you won't revert back to where you once were. You have always inspired me since my beginning on FS and I will continue to check in on you to see how you are doing while maintaining. I know it's not ever going to be easy. We have to stay vigilent for the rest of our lives. You are a great role model! Example: quick action already taken for your slip up!

I'm betting that you'll lose that gain quickly enough after a couple of days of eating well. It's a pretty busy time of year. Good luck with the start of the semester!
