jaime30024's Journal, 09 April 2013

Last night was fun but leaving we had tears. I tried hard and she did too but they came. We decided that it was better to not go to the airport today because it would make her emotional and we want to avoid that. Last night she texted me and told me she was crying and missed me and would miss me and was going to be so hard not seeing me everyday. I told her that I would miss her too but it was time for my little bird to spread her wings and fly. Neither of us got enough sleep and I hope she naps today on her flights because she may have a very late night. I will likely not sleep again as I will be waiting for her "I'm here call" and it could come at all hours.

I did get a run in yesterday and was proud of myself for jogging a mile non-stop without stopping or walking. I know that doesn't sound like a big deal, but for me....I am very proud of myself.

So I will start counting the Friday's and reminding myself that 'no news is good news'. Saying lots of prayers for my baby. Oh she was pretty proud of herself because she said she did 4 'manly push-ups' and could have done some more. So that work that we have been doing is paying off. I told her that everytime she squeezes out a push up she can think of me...haha.

Thanks to everyone for all of your kind words and support.

DH knows that his eating crap is done with...lol. I need to go get more cabbage today (for myself) and will be fitting in two salads (lunch and dinner) to get in some veggies. Time to reverse any damage and start busting my butt..haha.

Be kind to yourselves.

We're proud of you too... how you're handling your baby leaving with such grace & getting out for that run. Exercise always boosts my mood when I'm feeling down, so keep it up! Take care of yourself too as you navigate this new path that you, your DD & entire family are on. xoxox

Good for you getting your run in. I'm in awe of anyone who can run a mile...I can walk, but too chicken to give jogging a try. That 192 will pop up on the scale before you know it!
