So I got my "I'm here call" last night. It was 7:45pm pst which made it 9:45pm her time. So that is better than what a lot of moms have gotten. I hope it means that she will get some sleep. I talked to her quick at the airport while she was shoving dinner in so she could get to the front for the bus. She said that there were a lot of Seaman Recruits (SR) this is how they are referred until they pass. Her spirits sounded good and she did get a nap on the plane. I am sure this morning came early for her.
Still sticking with my commitment to her....I jogged 1.5 miles yesterday....I am sure that was a first for me. I almost got my curl ups in...my legs are sore (more from those I think) and I did get my push ups in....need to work on that form. Arms are feeling it today. Overall though I am currently at a fail for my Navy PFT Standards...lol...but that is okay because by the time this 8 weeks ends I will be passing all three of them.
Last night at bedtime I almost started crying again...saw the picture of us from the weekend on my night stand. I had to tell myself "stop acting like you will never see her again; she is safe and alive and healthy. You will see her again and when you do she will be more of a young woman than she was when she left!" I am sure this will not be the last pep talk that I have to give myself.
Be kind to yourselves.

Jaime, have a new exercise for your challenge. Lay on your stomach and pull the top part of your body up with arms down along your sides then squeeze your shoulder blades together. Man, that's a work out and gets rid of back flab! Hold for a count of 5 and repeat for 5 working up to 25.
