I found a small lose this morning. It's coming off slowly but that is probably due to the oreos. I'm pretty sure the things have some addictive compound in the cream. That's got to be why I can't stay out of them. It couldn't possibly be that I have a lack of self control.
I found the other half of the why you're eating and how to stop! It could work in a couple months. Right now? Not so much. I'm suppose to ask myself when did I last eat, am I really hungry, if I shouldn't be hungry then why am I eating? If it's just an impulse or mindless pie hole filling then they suggest you go for a walk, do something fun and active. Well... it was 20 degrees outside, everything is white, I had a 20 lb 9 month old little man strapped to one leg demanding my oreo, a 9 yr old telling me something about bird feeders (I stopped listening when she got to the list of things I had to buy her so she could make the thing), and two dogs circling each other trying to decide who farted. I ate the cookie. The good news is everyone is eating the cookies and they should be gone by this weekend. I'm counting down the days when I can tell everyone to go outside and play and to get out of the kitchen. You watch.. they will have a blast digging up my strawberry plants.
In other new and exciting news. I managed to write yesterday. Little man went to bed and I stayed up an hour to fiddle. I've almost complete a chapter on running. Well.. jogging.. Maybe that's a little much. It kind of turns into walking in a way that looks like jogging while being stalked by cows. Am I the next amazing writer? Prolly not.. but I had myself laughing and thats what counts.

Your writing style here reminds me of Erma Bombeck. Doesn't matter if you're not old enough to know who she was...point is she was hilarious and wise, so it's a compliment! I honestly find myself looking forward to your next jounal posts, I enjoy them that much--which is also a compliment...unless that just means I need to get out more... *grin*

Thanks! I think. I've heard of her but I don't think I've ever actually read anything of hers. I may have to look up some books at the library this weekend. Life's always greener over the septic tank sounds like my kinda book!

Man....I just googled the "pic of spider in oreo". Yuck! Thanks for that Rhodes1970. You peaked my curiosity and I couldn't resist! HEHE

Ok, the pic of spider in Oreo was gross--but sweets really aren't my weakness (I'm more a salty/savory lover) so it's not much of a deterrent. Now if I could just find a huge, squished spider the size of the inside of my fridge......

Thank goodness Snopes disproved the spider - it would take all the fun out of eating them in the dark :-)
