Greetings from beautiful Utah! Having a wonderful vaca. Had 1 1/2 days with both boys -- younger flew back to college yesterday after having a great week with him & have older until next Sun. Friends here too so snowshoeing this morning & spa day tomo. I'm blessed in many, many ways... And having all of you in my life is high on the list!
After a first day away where I was overtired from a stressful travel day, I've been able to relax, enjoy myself & eat mindfully making the best choices I can while eating out every meal. But happy to say, I've been able to stay my course off sugar, dairy & wheat, and I'm feeling great! Even after saying goodbye to my 6'3" baby yesterday & being alone for awhile while DH & older son skied, I resisted temptation & took care of myself with the help of my Angel, meditating & a good book. This has been a real trigger & problem time for me in the past so I'm especially pleased.
Upon reflection, I'm realizing that in addition to eating mindfully, I also want to learn to live more mindfully/in the moment, and that's now on my to do list. My health coach suggested a book & once I'm into it, I'll keep you all posted. Hope you all are doing well. Can't wait to catch up on all your journals after I get home on Weds night. Until then, I'll continue praying for serenity, and praying, breathing, meditating & expressing each one day, meal, moment, bite & emotion at a time. ( I'm not trying to log while away, hoping te mindful eating will take care of my weight & know regardless I can deal with it when I'm home again.). Xoxox
