RiverRes's Journal, 23 February 2013

Got in my hour workout this morning. I sure missed that over the past two weeks! I was actually smiling while working out!

Another busy weekend ahead. Visiting and working at my parents' house today and then tomorrow, I am taking my daughter and tow of her friends to a hockey game. After that, we will celebrate her 15th birthday by eating out at her favorite restaurant. That could be tough, but I am learning how to eat out and not blow my diet plan.

Have a good weekend one and all!

Just catching up on your journals, my friend, & so sorry for all you've been through. Glad to hear that your son is finally pain free -- what did they attribute the headache to? You are truly amazing & an inspiration to us all -- so caring to your children & parents -- while staying on your weight loss course! Good for you! It's especially not easy when you're under such stress. Also, happy to see you were able to get back to your exercise routine -- exercise makes me smile too & is such a stress reducer. I know its hard when you have so many who need you, but I've found I care for others better when I take care of myself too. Thinking of you all & wishing you a happy, busy birthday weekend! xoxox

We still don't know what causes his headaches. We are going to eliminate the typical triggers and watch him. We are now keeping similar food diaries - me for calories and fat, him for food additives and caffeine. Definitely shopping the outside of the store for both of us. Shopping takes a long time as we read labels on everything processed. Not a bad skill to be teaching a 16 year old boy - he will be light years ahead of the typical freshman when he goes to college!
