DairyKing's Journal, 22 January 2013

Good Morning, FS Warriors! Hope everyone made it through the weekend unscathed. We had quite a cold spell move in here, with windchills in the negative numbers. It was 5F on the way to work this morning. They are actually calling for a couple inches of snow later this week. Can't hardly wait.

I am quite a multi-tasker and just thought I'd share a picture of my office space. TTYL!

LOL... Love it... But.. You really must do something about all that paperwork. Or is that a 'economic and satisfying" way of dealing with unwanted correspondence :-)

It actually took me a minute to figure out what was wrong with this picture - LOL.

Oh, DK...you are a pistol! I am just west and north of St. Louis, so we have that same cold snap here. Right now it is snowing...of course, there was no snow in the forecast and it has been coming down pretty good for the last 2 hours...we have about 1/2 an inch so far. Have a great day, and thanks for the chuckle.

HAHA DK - priceless! Back in the day I was so grateful my bluetooth had a 'mute' button so the folks on the conference call didn't hear me flush. One day I forgot and they all cracked up laughing. BTW - I caught MH in a weak moment and we are now the proud new owners of two BIRD FEEDERS! No birds yet, dangit. Have a good day! Bella

And Stef, I'm just south and west of Peoria, so I'm just missing that snow. You guys got a lot more rain last year than we did, also - if I'm not mistaken.

We were so low on rain last year, DK. Not sure how much we had, but it wasn't much. I am in Troy, just south of Hannibal.

Stef, we love to ride the motorcycle along the Mississippi River from Keokuk, IA to just above Hannibal. Have to put the helmets on before we can come across the river to Hannibal though. :)

We normally have about 45 inches a year...last year we had about 23. Not sure how much you all had, but it sure has been an awful time for our farmers, not to mention the fire risk. So glad to see a little snow, as any precipitation helps at this point! Hope you get some soon!

That is such a gorgeous area! I love driving through there. :)

If you would follow 61 another hour south of Hannibal, you would hit our little town (although it is not nearly as small as it was when we moved here 26 years ago).

LOL DK!!! Hope you get that snow!!

Well Stef, we typically get around 35 inches of rainfall, but apparently got 26.97 this past year, and only 13.5 in of snow and that all came in one good snowfall. Of course, I am googling this stuff, but I think it's pretty accurate.
