I need to confess something. I slipped saturday and ate something I shouldn't have. I've been doing so good! I made a sausage roll for the family and kept some of the sausage, cheese, and other goodies for myself but apparently I didn't keep enough. It probably didn't help that the sausage roll was apparently amazing in hubby and 8 yr olds minds. As I'm sitting there I kept getting "OMG this is amazing! Can you make this again?" and mmmm noises combined with grunts. I'm sitting there thinking. Seriously? I made something that good? No way. I'm the burn it/destroy it/I can make a steak taste like a shoe lace girl. I made something edible?!?! So I slipped and I had a piece.. then another piece. And it was good but probably not worth the slip. Next time I will make twice the sausage mix for the inside and enjoy mine minus the breading.

The only good news is I was back on track the next day and today my pants are starting to feel a little loose again like they were before the massive slip I've been fighting. I will lose the weight. I'm not giving myself a choice. I have to lose the weight. Eventually hubbies back will give out if I don't. Last night he thought it was funny to put me on top of a round bale because it looks like a giant marshmellow.. Ok.. don't ask. I think it's some sort of food fetish something or other. I'm not sure. I think he was trying to gauge my weight after he noticed I was showing crack every time I bent over because my work pants were loose again. Either way he was just grunting and complaining about a 125 lb bag of corn meal then he picks me up like I'm light. It's definitely an ego stroke but I'm still worried I will crush the man. It makes me kinda wonder what he will try to do when I'm 130 instead of 160.

I will lose the weight and get a Jullian Michaels like body. I will not let sausage rolls sabatoge me. I will not give into my sushi craving that is currently taunting me to give in. I will lose at least 5 lbs a month.

we all slip. the point is your realized it and instead of getting overly down on yourself and getting depressed which makes you eat more etc. You turned it around and you made a healthy decision for the future.

great job getting right back on track. I so understand what you mean though...they all sit around and make yummy noises and sometimes a girl's just gotta see what all the fuss is about! Have a great week.

Ditto Jess!!! I caved to Wegman's Sushi while watching the SU game Sat night. And that was after my screw up late last week! So far no ill effects but we will see if I can keep that up. I forgot my gyn clothes today and I know if I go home I won't leave... ugh! So when are we meeting up? What do you think of the shakes you are using?

I'm so confused - I've been reading about Atkins considering it for my backup plan when 'winging' it gives out. I thought fish was ok. Or is it the rice / seaweed part of sushi? Can you have sashimi and still show your face the next day?

FullaBella it's the rice and sugar in the sauces that are a killer to Adkins. Sashimi is different.

Hey Thynes the shakes really aren't that bad. They seem to fill me up for a few hours. The trick is keeping 8 yr old out of them. She sees the words chocolate or french vanilla and thinks she needs some. What are you up to this Friday? We're getting a new writer next month so I'll be free for lunch sometime soon! Woohoo!

Not sure about Friday night, but I will definitely try! I'm sure I could get an hour after work maybe :-). Kids are a pain. Ry likes the Luna bars i get. I showed him the for women thing to try and keep him out but he doesn't care lol

I hate that. I make my hubby and kids taste whatever I cook that I don't plan on eating so it won't happen.
