Didn't have time for more than my 'woo hoo' earlier....but wanted to record some 'side benefits' of the Atkins WOE for my body. This is to remind me if I ever fall off the wagon (again).
Three weeks into the diet and:
I've lost 7.4 lbs.
My 'arthritic' left knee, usually constantly painful, has no pain. Going up my stairs used to be very painful, always had to lead with the right leg - now I can do stairs like a normal person.
My sinus' post nasal drip, which normally requires homeopathic "Sinus" remedy daily, and/or Mucinex nightly, is just plain gone. The cough that resulted from the post nasal drip and was embarrassing (constantly hacking at the office) is also gone.
My acid reflux, which used to happen 30 minutes after eating, isn't happening. The bottle of TUMS on my nightstand, which used to be required eating about 3am every single night, has gone unused for three weeks. (Think I have a wheat/sugar problem?)
I am very fair skinned and have had a problem the last year with red, scratchy patches along my hairline/forehead. They are clearing up.
Let me remember the goal is health!
