Stop eating crappy foods!!

Nothing like your daily trip to the scale to tell you that you made some really poor choices the day before! I went over my RDI for the first time in a long time because I had a munchie fest and ate "out of control" last night.

I felt terrible (physically) last night (too much sugar) and this morning I have a headache. Definitely poor judgement (or no judgement!). My body is definitely rebelling. I bet it would kick my butt if it could!

Now to get my brain back on board. I have struggled with diet burn out the past two weeks and haven't been very excited about eating vegetables. Temps have been near zero and it has been so hard to eat my lunch salad when I am already cold and my hands are like icicles. I made vegetable soup yesterday and it felt better than cold salad, but my body kind of rebelled - I don't know if it was too much sodium or what.

I will remember yesterday and use it as tool. When my brain says, "why not?", I will remember how icky I felt last night and the residual sugar headache from this morning. That will help me stay the course. If that doesn't work, I may just let myself kick my own butt!

Good for you with the soup - they're my RDI survival on these bone chilling days. I make a Huge pot every Sunday and grab a mug of it all week for a quick warming. The whole pot even with chicken totals less than 600 cals I'm still using canned tomatoes - am going to work on trying fresh this time - but spread out with the vegs etc the sodium isn't as strong in one serving.

Butt kicking is good, but its even better that you're more determined than ever this morning. So, good for you! Take it easy on yourself today, both in what you eat & how you treat yourself, as this too shall pass. And, keep coming back, tweaking that darn diet, posting, logging, etc -- it's a journey so there's bound to be some bumps in the road! Hang in there & know we're here for you!
