Steven Anthony's Journal, 05 July 2018

Day 77 of my 90-day program was weird. Started off feeling like I was running late, when actually I was early. The road to work (there is only one) was closing at 9:00 for a parade, so I had to go to Pinetop and walk at Woodland Park. I was shocked to see it mostly dried up, but thankfully the Monsoons arrive today.

Normally, I would close for the holiday, but my neighbor was opening and I didn't want him to be alone. I also wanted to do some extra cleaning and touch-up painting. So, I was uncomfortable on my walk. I don't like the path at this park and so I stopped at only 2 miles walk.

I had planned only one meal and ended the day with two. I didn't eat anything but keto food, but wish I would have skipped dinner. Now, I don't think I will lose any weight this week. Hope I didn't gain. Today, I'm hungry and don't know why. I didn't eat any extra carbs so normally my appetite would be manageable. Now, I want to eat and eat. I will drink more water, that helps sometimes.

Anyway, not much to complain about, I just wish I was going to hit my goal this week and it seems I won't. It is what it is, and there is always next week to do better. Have a great day everyone!

Glad you listened to your feelings and stopped your walk at 2 miles. It was nice that you thought about your neighbor and not wanting him to be alone.

For me, unexplained hunger can be a sign of getting low on salt. Currently I fix it by putting a good pinch of salt in the tongue, and wash it down with water. Hunger ease soon after. This could be related to that I live in a hot climate. A few months ago, I got weak and hungry. On relection, I believe that was related to insufficient nutrition from the food I ate. This time, I make sure that the little food I eat, is very nutrient dence. Meat, liver, sardines, egg yolks etc. Happy to hear you're on Keto. I see it as a sure road to lasting success. Good luck on your journey. Hope you see a lot of joy on the way.

I start my day with my suppliments and definitely my salt. being keto you need it. I would add more variety to your diet too. If you don't like to cook much, easy things which are great for you would be canned wild salmon and tuna. I put plenty of sugar free mayo on it and use romain lettuce to hold it all. some use zuchinni, hollow out the seeds and fill the boat. with the tuna or salmon mix. I like to add onions to mine. I generally just use one thin slice chopped up as onions are a tad high in carbs, but manageable. adding salads with raw spinach and other veggies if you like, and some leftover chicken or other meat with a nice olive oil and vinegar home mixed dressing also helps fill in the gap for easy quick food. you can add cheese too. these things help fill the gap a little.

@Keilin-4, by the time I get home from work, I only have to make it about 2 hours until bed, so it's not so bad.
