We've made it halfway...lets keep grinding!!!

Happy Wednesday everyone!!! I hope you are all having a wonderful Wednesday!!

Honestly, I was kind of down this morning, I was stupid and stepped on the scale again. The number was more than I had hoped, it was up over 399 again. I know weight fluctuates, and I know I shouldn't rely on that number to motivate me, but you cant help but feel deflated when just a few days ago I was celebrating a victory and now I am fighting the same dragon again.

There are times I feel like a hamster on a wheel, I can see the new me, the thinner more healthy me, in the distance, and I am running with all I have and never getting closer. My owner has moved my cage a bit, so I feel like I am going in the right direction, but in reality I am where I have always been. A fat girl...

We were watching America's Got Talent last night, and there was a woman auditioning and she was overweight (I hate that term, what is weight? How do you know I am over that? When someone is average, are they considered "weight"?) and she was saying that she had auditioned for an amusement park when she was younger and they told her she was too big. My nieces, God bless them, kept saying "I dont understand, shes beautiful" "Why didnt they want her, shes so pretty". I told them that sometimes people will just judge you by your size, not the merit of your character and its not fair, but it does happen. They both, 10 and 13, had such confused, perplexed looks on their faces. They did not understand why someone, that they deemed as beautiful, would be told they werent good enough.

It gave me some hope, though, because these children seen her as a person, not her size, but who she was. To them, she was beautiful, and she deserved to be in the spotlight, where she wanted to be. It made me so proud of them, for seeing past size, to the heart of this woman they didnt even know. I just hope that others start to see people in the same light, we all have things that make us feel "less than", just because mine is obvious, doesnt make it right to judge me.

Today I will pray for my bent (not broken) spirit, I will pray that the Lord guides me in the direction I need to be. I will pray He hears my cries when I feel so alone and damaged. I pray that He keeps my mind on the goal, not the setbacks. I pray that He guides all of our hearts and minds. I pray for healing for minds and bodies. I pray for pain to be removed and hearts to be restored. I pray for all reading this, that they find joy in the small things. I give thanks for a new day, and the ability to recognize that I am not a failure, just a work in progress. I pray for a reminder that I am enough. In Jesus name, Amen.

I hope you all have a wonderful day!! Smile at a stranger, hold a door, buy someone a drink, do something kind for someone and dont expect a thank you. The world will only become a better place, if we all work towards being better people. Love you all!!

You know, hamsters actually like getting on that wheel. It's part of their lives and they choose to get on there, just like you are choosing to improve your health as part of your life. Hang in there, you are doing a great job!

Don't worry, that scale will go back down. Just don't give up.Your weight can fluctuate so much due to water retention, hormones, etc. Hugs!

Just a reminder, you're doing amazing and have come so far and it's still not a race! Sometimes our bodies fluctuate up and down but I am convinced, that if you're still doing B everything correctly (eating, exercise, ect.) that your body is busy reconfiguring. I've been fluctuating for the last 2 months between 157 down to 153. But I've lost more inches all over. Legs, arms, middle. Things are fitting different too. Our bodies sometimes need to readjust to our drop in weight. And all of a sudden today, I'm down 2 pounds! Just keep doing your thing, stay focused even in the slow times. You'll reach your goals, I have all the faith in you 😀

I was watching the show too, "The fat girl was amazing" it feels good when you are in a place where your look or weight does not matter.

lol love it
Always remember, the scale is only one part of your journey. Find your ideal time of day to weigh. For me, it is about 4:00 pm. Only weigh once a week. It's a long journey. How you feel and how well you stick to your own specific program are the keys to your success. Your weight does not determine who or what you are in life.

Anyone who has watched The Voice may remember the blinds when Jorden Smith sang Chandelier. He had the most beautiful voice and it was magnificent. The look of surprise on the judges faces when they turned around was priceless. He was not a she but a he, and was “fat” and very plain looking. He went on to win the season and is very successful today. I love that show. Just goes to show how we prejudge people by their looks and then are surprised by their hidden talents. Rock on, people!

Normal, or as you put it, weight-sized people have just as many flaws and shortcomings, probably more so, than larger or over-weight people, it's just that the world can see the flaws and shortcomings of those of us that are fat. Of course normal sized people love to pretend like they're perfect, they NEVER overeat, they exercise diligently, and just work so hard, when we all know people that are normal or average sized that are complete freaking slobs when it comes to how they eat, what they eat, and how much they exercise. Yeah, I've got more than just a little disdain for those sanctimonious naturally skinny types, they're probably all on meth.

I weigh daily, but only record it on Sunday. when the scale bounces up, I know that today will be a "lota wata" day. Big change from past me when it would just derail everything.

Thanks for the support - I hate to say but obese people in general are looked down upon - The package is different but the inside is the same - I treat everybody the same way and even go up to some more obese people and greet them because for every 1 of me , there are 100 that bring em down - I say these people use this as ammo and motivation to get where they want to be , only if they want to - It is up to each individual to see this and me having a wife a little overweight, I learned early on to watch about saying stuff like, lets go walking (of course at my pace ), don't you need to stop eating that (guilty of that year's ago ) - When the motivation comes to them, that is when to step into action - Until them, treat them like anyone else and actually make an extra effort because other people give em total crap - YOU ARE DOING IT - WHEN NOT IF
