So today was a test... and I passed. I work for a very large company (4000+ empl) and they are doing construction in our bldg. A lot of us, me included, are working in satellite locations and I'm fine with that. Today, I had to report to the main building for a meeting.
To make everyone feel better, I guess, there are bowls of candy literally everywhere! On top of that, they decided to have a cookout for us today, offering all kinds of cakes, pies, chips, brownies, etc. It was a virtual nightmare! But I held out...
I fixed my lunch plate with a hamburger patty (no bun), a hot dog (no bun) a little mayo, a slice of tomato, and a honking pile of pickles. I got some strange looks, but in a crowd that large, you see a bit of everything. I spotted another lady with a plate of food very similar to mine so I sat with her. She glanced at my plate, smiled and said, LCHF? I said yep, you? She said yep. And we celebrated our NSV plates together. There is safety in numbers! We together did not go to the dessert table.
