I am EXTREMELY frustrated that for 2 days I've eaten well, also a significant amount less than recommended, and exercised a great deal using cardio, weight training, balance, and flexibility and the scale HAS NOT BUDGED. I am studying nutrition and training, and this just does not add up. 3500 calories = 1 pound, if I have eaten less than 3500 calories in 2 days total (not on purpose, just was not hungry or schedule was awkward), and burned WAY more than that, WHERE IS THIS WEIGHT!

Google: "Why the Scale Lies" and read the article. It makes sense and takes the frustration down a notch. Your loss will catch up eventually. Keep doing what you are doing and drink tons of water!

The trainer in me (and my actual trainer) tells me I should not freak out, but I still do anyway. It's just so frustrating!

I think you're doing a great job. Look at how steady your chart is moving down,

Actually, it's normal with new exercise. Muscles retain water to help them heal and can show on the scale as a temporary gain, small loss or no loss. Google "Why the scale lies" like HCB suggested. It will give you better understanding of water weight fluctuations throughout your weight loss journey.

Thing is it's not really new exercises, and I have been gaining muscle for 3 months already. I understand weightloss, but the water retention thing, and not being exactly sure of what goes on in my body really annoys me, I can get the concepts, but I hate not really knowing (extreme OCD here). And Destiny, thank you, it was for a while, but the past few weeks have just stayed around the same.

Are you recording your lean body mass or your percent body fat? If not, I suggest you do. Take a look at this article: http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/drwilley3.htm hope this helps

Sookers, I'm not sure how to get those % on my own, I get a nursing re-evaluation every 3 months so I know my lean has gone up quite a bit and my fat body mass has gone down quite a bit. But I DO know that I have to get measuring tape to see if I'm losing inches. I have the feeling I am building quite a bit of muscle, but I am not lucky enough to see a nurse every week for that information haha (I so wish I was!) Also, I can't see the full link.
