It's not necessarily addiction maybe just a craving. Like we all want what we can't have!

I agree with you and abbadabba.....I like those darn fries too, but I know it will destroy my progress and lifestyle changes. The longer your able to withstand the cravings the easier it will become. Steer clear of McDonald's if you can help it.....Remove the temptation.....take alternate route or food location. If you ask me, I think it is our bodies craving the salt and type of oil placed on the fries which makes them so dang good. None the less, I'm glad you used restraint to resist the urge. Would like to hear your thoughts on why your craving them --besides just saying they taste great. Perhaps something is missing in your dietary plans which isn't quite filling the void just yet. You need to explore options and adjust things to see what works best and those which don't.....I've had to do this for the past 3 months now, big change for me. Sure I and you may slip from time to time, but we learn, we apply the knowledge, and move forward. It isn't going to be easy, but try to remove hurdles, try to reprogram your though process, and get it done !!!! the sooner the better. I'm rooting 4 you !!! :D You can do, hey, if you need I'll try my hardest to do it with you if it helps. It won't be easy, but look at the bright side ----we'll each be healthier. This doesn't mean you can't ever have them, just wait until you get cravings under control first as not to slip up.... Good luck, let me know your thoughts, and progression..... enjoy your weekend!

Well yeah i overdid it with the word addiction 😬😬😬 but everytime everyday , especially after work and heading home, i commute so i will always passby this mall where food court is so near .. all the way from office till i reach the end of my station, i am only thinking of french fries ... and i keep looking at the door or the escalator thinking to go up and have it .. normally. Always give in to my cravings ,, it was only last night I was able to resist the urge to go up and have my fill ,,, but it was really hard .. it was like being so tensed and u wanna smoke but u trying to quit ... walking away was like going againts a current ... by the way i am not smoking anymore ,, kicked th bad habit for 2 years now ..

The last time I had a craving for McDonald's fries I bought a Happy Meal and got the little tiny child fries. Unfortunately they hadn't been salted and I'd already driven away when I discovered them... warm and soggy... tasteless. I haven't wanted them since, so I guess my experience was a good thing. Sure didn't feel so at the time!

it IS like quitting smoking! When you get more practice resisting, it will become easier. I like socalpam's suggestion of cutting down portion size tool

I see those golden arches now and it makes me physically ill, because I remember what it was like to be well beyond morbidly obese... I treat McDonalds, Jack n the Box, et. the same way my buddy, who is a recovering heroine addict, treats her old dealers... that is, it's cut out of my life and I'll never step foot in the door again.

I watched something the other day that said potatoes are grown especially for McDonald fries and that they are sprayed with some chemicals in the field that are so toxic that once applied no one can go near those fields for awhile.
