Yes, Kalamata olives! Also some green olives, cucumber, grape tomatoes, avocado and feta with a drizzle (just a drizzle) of olive oil and a bit of basil and sea salt.

362 calories. One third of that is from the avocado.

You are so right. Non of my friends share my WOE so when they come to dinner I use a nice tablecloth, my good dishes, candles, nice music, inexpensive flowers (my neighbors yard) and I serve the meal in courses not family style. We start with a small salad, eat, talk laugh, then I play waiter and bring the next course (already plated). It slows the meal down allowing the body to recognize when it is full. I also cook to the number of people coming. No seconds, no leftovers. If my menus includes something they have not eaten before I always have a printed recipe for them to take home.

DD, at a restaurant, it probably would be $14, lol. Fortunately, it probably cost a third or even a quarter of that for me to make.

LSG417–Unfortunately my group of female friends are all very overweight. Within the last three weeks one had a stroke, one had just been diagnosed with a progression of her pre diabetic state and taking Metformin only, to T2 diabetes and insulin added and 4 days later had a heart attack and developed congestive heart failure. Now she has permanent, irreversible heart damage. Another friend had a heart attack and did not survive. Not only is being overweight hard on the affected person, it is also so very painful for friends and family to sit back and watch people walk that road when you know that the road dead ends in a huge crevasse. I have mourned these three people long before there events happened and it is very distressing.

Oh no!! I am so sorry! Gosh, it would be one thing for it to be one friend, but three?? I have no doubt that is very difficult to deal with emotionally. Keeping you and them, in my prayers.
