I have never tried these with the tops on. I always feed it to the bunny. I’ll have to try it.

Here's what I did with mine...I washed and sliced them like you would potatoes. (No greens or stems/roots whatever they are, lol). I placed them in a stainless steel frying pan (lined with foil) and poured olive oil over them, sprinkling garlic & onion powder, little dash of kosher salt, pepper, SMOKED PAPRIKA, and about a tablespoon of left over grease from morning bacon...baked for 12 to 15 min. on 400 degrees - check and turn them. They come out like some kind of delicious soft POTATOES. I HATE RADISHES, but boy oh boy do I love these!!! Going to have to try them on a cookie sheet to make like yours - crispy next time.

I often do a dish of roasted chicken breast surrounded by veg of various kinds - carrots, peppers, brussel sprouts, onions, fennel, garlic (leave the skin on so it doesn't burn, just cut the bottom off), zucchini, eggplant, you name it. All with plenty of good-quality olive oil. The thing is, once you remove the veg, you are left with all the juices and good oil in the bottom of the pan, so make sure you don't waste that. Either pour it all off to use in a dressing or I like to fill the pan with something like cous-cous, bulgur, rice or polenta plus some hot water and seasoning and stick it in the oven, and all those delicious juices get used as a stock to cook the grains in.

Sorry, I tried to use paragraph breaks, but they got deleted when I posted.

Great information, Gabrice. I to try to roast vegetables. I do dishes in the skillet with chicken breast cut in pieces and lots of vegetables. I use a simmer sauce when I do that and then serve it over rice but that is a lot of carbs and my daughter just started doing Keto so I need to learn how to do it without the simmer sauce. Will have to try your way.

I tripple washed these in several bowls of water to get all the sand out of the leaves. Threw them in a pan with the radish tops facing up. Sprinkled with salt and pepper then drizzled in olive oil. Baked covered with a lid at 450 degrees for 30 minutes then removed the lid and baked an additional 10-15 minutes to crisp the tops.

Hmmm. I never knew that cooking radishes was even a "thing"!! I have loved fresh, raw radishes all my life, but never heard of them cooked before. How would you describe the flavor and texture of a cooked radish?

Favorite early summer snack: French radishes dipped in olive oil, then salt. Or just raw and buttered. YUUMM!

Just tried these last week with a niece who is a vegetarian. I added some pink salt as the spice. They ended up so sweet that you couldn't tell that they were radishes.
