performance: gaining 2.7 lb a week
I am now 61 years old. I was skinny all my life until hitting menopause. I couldn't take hormone replacements due to having gotten a blood clot in the lung after having taken the 18th pill of the 1st packet of hormone replacement ("The Pill"). I almost died but here I still am. Then I out of the clear blue sky developed an allergy to hair dye, so now I'm really fat and gray/silver - the pits. I kept on gaining and gaining until I became morbidly obese....and in a very SHORT PERIOD OF TIME it seemed. I came to this site a few years ago, would lose then blow it especially during Holidays then say to heck with it and get off Atkins - and would gain anything I had lost right back and moreso. This New Years I have determined that I am going to lose. I started this on 1/5/14
(7 days ago) and have lost 5LBS. This is encouraging to me. It's just a drop in the bucket of what I need to lose - but it's 1 LBS at a time and I'm grateful and excited about every ounce I lose because it's in the right direction....DOWN, lol ! I've got 160 more LBS to go and can't exercise due to my physical limitation with COPD and other stuff, but I'm going to keep on trying no matter what!!!!
