I've joined FS in 2011, but only since this past Spring/2014 have I come back frequently and now full force. Today is 11/19/14 and so far I've lost 24 LBS. I have the Lord to thank for every ounce I take off. I decided and finally woke up to the realization that I need to take myself out of this diet and put the Lord in it. I feel His presence as He walks and guides me every single moment. I know I can't lose all this weight by myself but I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me - physically, spiritually and emotionally. Ever since I took the Lords' Hand He has shown me that this is not a diet, but a spiritual walk with Him. I am trusting in Him and I put my whole life into His loving hands. I cannot and will not fail!
I am a Nurse Auditor and am soooo looking forward to going back to work. My company has never given up trying to get me back and with the help of God I will be able to at best within a year if I can get 2 knee replacements first. Pray for me, please!

Low Carb egg options
Hi,
I tried the All Whites I get at my Fareway grocery. Just egg whites that come in a carton. I've always thought "how nasty that must be"....BUT when I tried them, I thought I'd go nuts they were SOOOOOO good!!! I use butter spray to cut down on the calories and cholesterol of butter. I sprinkle a little garlic powder on them and until recently was using salt that contains 30% less sodium. (Called SALT SENSE)...but I need to cut back on that too. Give the egg whites a try, I think you might like them too.

Wow, I didn't know this group existed! I was looking for a group of women who didn't have anymore hormones, lol!! Seriously, it's so hard to lose when you go into menopause, so this group will be great and you all sound like so much fun!!!

Sloooooowwwww weight loss!
II Mum...I joined the same day you did !!! I found myself losing really fast. I had gotten down from 271.8 to 264.0. (I shrinking @ age 61 from 5'2" to 5.0"Wink I've been yo-yoing back and forth with a LBS UP then a LBS down. I know the majority of the 7#'s lost was mainly water. I am following this diet 100% yet not losing any right now. I know it's because I have too much sodium intake and also because I am physically disabled to be able to do exercise like a normal person would, most especially because I have COPD and a torn leg ligament. I get
short of breath walking from 1 room into another, but I've been trying to lift cans of soup as I sit. Just to raise my enormous arms is an effort that I know if I keep doing this more and more as I can tolerate it, it will be at least some calories I can burn off. I know the key to any diet is exercise. Please keep in touch with me as we have the same starting date in common, but you most likely have your age and health going for you. I can't take hormones and it's REALLY a battle to get this fat off of me, but we can do this!!!
