i allowed myself two of the cranberry citrus crisps with my lunch yesterday. they had been left on the communal snack table in the breakroom (my nemesis). they weren't bad, either nutritionally or flavor-wise. a better cheat than the pecan pie that's back there today...

if i read this correctly, you only had one thin mint girl scout cookie, correct?
if this page is accurate:

... one thin mint cookie is 40 calories, which is nothing in the grand scheme of things. i would not worry about or feel guilty about this.

I managed to pass the girl scouts at the store the other day and wasn't too tempted. My daughter came home from her Dad's that night with a box of Thin Mints and apologized for bringing them in the house lol. She's been keeping them in her room, but I really haven't been that tempted. I almost dipped into Mom's French Vanilla Pirouettes with Nutella last night, but had a plum instead. I'm making progress. Stay strong!

I have a similar thing with my stomach after eating refined flour and sugar (mmmbreaddddd) but at least our bodies immediately let us know that we are definitely doing the right thing by NOT eating junkfood.

ahhh yes, the sugaréheroin pushers of today! What I do is donate, cause they are good innocent girls, learning and doing good things, but I say here`s 10 bucks or whatever , donate a few boxes to the food drive that is usually inside the store doors... That way, i`m happy , the girl scouts are happy and yes i`m poisoniing some poor saps, but hey, can`t win them all.....

I agree, I have to stay completely away from the Thin Mints. I used to eat them by the sleeve at one sitting. CANNOT DO THAT AGAIN. It is one of my trigger foods and Thank God it's only one time a year (unless you think ahead and freeze them....wait, I never did that, they never made it alive in my house that long). Good for you and your strength to pass them up !! :)

Thin mints are my absolute favorite kind of GS cookies, but, I've been doing good this year (so far) by only having two peanut butter sandwiches. I didn't even buy any thin mints especially knowing the risk factor lol
